"Madeira is full of amazing natural landscapes, and what's even better they are pretty versatile! You can hike the highest peak at 1861 m and lay on the most beautiful beach on the same day."

"Hiking! If you're not afraid of heights make sure to hike PR1 from Pico Areeiro to Pico Ruivo, there is a part called the Stairway to Heaven with a steep abyss on both sides - takes your breath away!"

What's the most unique thing about Madeira?

"Levadas! They are special watercourses made by the earliest settlers. There are about 200 of them on the island. Some of the best hikes follow levadas through a lush forest to stunning waterfalls."
