"Eat! Bologna is Italy's food capital and boy do you know it when you're here! From bolognese to tortellini en brodo, it's all delicious. You must do a cooking class with a local!"

"Bologna is unlike other major Italian cities because it still feels like an authentically Italian city. You'll get a true Italian experience here!"

"Climb one of Bologna's towers (be warned they're steep), hang out in Piazza Maggiore and visit the oldest university in the world. Grab the bus up to San Luca too for the best views!"

"You will be walking a lot to explore this medieval town, so I guess it’s a perfect autumn/winter trip. Can’t imagine how hot it gets in summer!"

What do you love most about Sintra?

"Sintra’s palaces and castles are honestly stunning… It feels like you’re on a Disney movie set! I loved how they decorated the inside of the palaces with the famous azulejos. "

". Don’t queue to see the inside of Peña Palace, it’s not worth it! . Try to spend a few days there, I loved Sintra by night!"

"Trying one of their famous travesseiros, also called the Sintra’s pillows! It’s a typical dessert made with puff pastry, egg yolks and almonds… it’s delicious! "

"Well, I spent 2 full days and wished I had an extra one as I truly loved Sintra. But honestly, even a day trip from Lisbon can get you to see most of the famous attractions in town."

"Where to begin! I have been to over 40 archaeological sites in Mexico and this definitely tops the list. When I arrived early in the morning we literally had the whole place to ourselves."

"It isn't easy to get to Calakmul with the closest town being a two-hour drive away. While you can get a taxi from Xpujil, it will cost around 1,200 so I would suggest renting a car, the drive is easy."

"Gili is all about snorkelling and underwater life. On the road, you can easily rent a mask and fins (very needed with the strong currents) for a very little price."
