This was our first trek with Nepal Hiking Team, and they were absolutely excellent. We did the Annapurna Circuit Trek, and from the moment we arrived, Nepal Hiking Team made the planning and execution incredibly smooth. Our guide, Ram, was exceptional in getting us to the top and ensuring we experienced the local culture throughout the trek. Ganga and the team in Kathmandu were also fantastic, quickly adapting our schedule due to some unforeseen events. Overall, I will be recommending Nepal Hiking Team to anyone and everyone planning a trip to Nepal!

Anna - A Memorable Everest Base Camp Trek with Nepal Hiking Team

My friend and I completed the Everest Base Camp trek with Nepal Hiking Team in April 2022. Ganga, the founder, ensured that our overall experience was great throughout the trek. While our first guide didn’t meet our expectations in terms of knowledge, manners, and English, Ganga quickly addressed the issue and arranged for a new guide, Ram, who was fantastic and helped us reach the top. Our porter also did an amazing job! However, we couldn’t help but feel that as two women, we weren’t taken seriously by the first guide. Additionally, neither of the guides provided information about the region or culture proactively—we always had to ask questions and coax the details out of them. This is why we’re giving 4 stars. When booking, I would recommend asking for an experienced guide, as others we met on the trek had no complaints about their guides. The trek itself isn’t technically difficult. We saw people of all ages—from 5 to 80—completing the journey, regardless of fitness levels. The real challenge comes from the altitude, especially in the final 3-4 days. As you get higher (past Namche), the food, hygiene, and guesthouse conditions deteriorate, which is understandable given the altitude. But it’s all absolutely worth it—the views, the landscape, and the overall hiking experience are INSANE, unlike anything else in the world.

Stop searching and book with Nepal Hiking Team! Last month, my wife, a friend, and I completed the "Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake" trek, and it was hands down one of the most incredible experiences we’ve ever had during our travels. The sheer beauty of the Himalayas is breathtaking, and spending two weeks surrounded by them was nothing short of pure joy. We wished the trek could have gone on forever! NHT is an exceptionally well-run company. From the first inquiry my wife sent to being dropped off at the airport, everything ran like clockwork. Ganga was quick to respond to emails and patiently answered all the many questions we had leading up to the trek. Our guide, Dhurba, along with porters Neeman and Ratna, were fantastic companions—fun, kind, and wonderful to be with both on the trail and during evenings at the teahouses. Dhurba was an outstanding guide: his English was excellent, he knew the trail inside out, and he took extra care to ensure we stayed healthy and free from altitude sickness (which thankfully we did!). He frequently checked in on us, offering useful tips along the way. Dhurba also booked us the best teahouses, where we often had the nicest rooms. We couldn’t have asked for more from a guide! One of the highlights was when Dhurba noticed it was my wife’s birthday during the trek. He surprised her with a birthday cake from what must be one of the highest bakeries in the world—it was such a thoughtful and special moment, thanks to the whole team! We also bumped into a few other groups from NHT on the trail, and it was great to see how friendly and connected the whole team is. Every guide we met from NHT was equally lovely and knowledgeable. What we especially appreciated was supporting a local company. NHT was founded by two Nepalese brothers who worked their way up from being porters. A personal touch that really stood out was being greeted by one brother (Ganga) on our first day and by the other brother (Balaram) when we finished the trek.

I recently completed the Three Passes Trek, including Everest Base Camp, with Nepal Hiking Team, and I can't recommend them highly enough. From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu, the team, led by Ganga and our guide Raj, went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. Raj's expertise and deep knowledge of the region were clear from the start. His guidance not only ensured our safety but also enriched our understanding of the culture, history, and natural beauty that surrounded us. Though Raj doesn’t speak much, when he does, it’s with passion. His problem-solving skills were exceptional—he handled unexpected challenges smoothly, ensuring our journey stayed enjoyable. Raj also consulted with us on various aspects of the trek, allowing us to remain flexible and comfortable throughout the experience. Our porters, especially Rai, were invaluable. Despite the difficult terrain, they stayed cheerful and dedicated, ensuring our gear was transported safely and efficiently. Their hard work behind the scenes allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the trek without any worries about our belongings. The logistics and organization by Nepal Hiking Team were flawless. Everything from accommodations to meals along the trail was well-planned and exceeded our expectations. A special mention goes to Raj, who quickly sorted out our flights between Ramechhap and Lukla. Thanks to him, we were on the first flight out of Lukla and back in Kathmandu by 7:30 a.m. As for the trek itself, it was FABULOUS. We had perfect weather and ideal trekking conditions, and we enjoyed every moment of the 19-day journey. The only downside was missing our families, but witnessing the wonders of the Himalayas kept us moving forward each day. Overall, I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team to anyone seeking an adventure in the Himalayas. Thank you to Raj, our guide, the porters, and the entire team for an incredible journey we’ll cherish forever.

We visited the Upper Mustang Valley in August 2024 and completed the 12-day trek, including the eastern part with Yara. As a couple with little prior long-trekking experience, we weren’t sure what to expect, but the landscape exceeded all our imaginations. I feel so grateful to have visited such a stunning place. The villages, the people, and the majestic mountains blend together perfectly, offering a breathtaking glimpse into this remote region of Nepal. For those considering a visit during monsoon season, the dry climate of the area is a wonderful bonus, with minimal rainfall. An Unforgettable Journey to both Annapurna and Everest

My partner and I booked two tours with Nepal Hiking Team, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. While planning this trip, I reached out to several companies, but Ganga's clear and friendly communication made us feel comfortable, so we chose NHT. We did a 10-day Annapurna trek and a 20-day Everest trek, both of which were incredible experiences. The treks were definitely challenging, but we're so glad we did them. We had different guides for each trek, but both were equally wonderful. It was clear that they loved their jobs and truly put their hearts into it. Ramesh, what a champion! He has such a great sense of humor, and if he’s your guide, you’re guaranteed to have a good time. He kept us and everyone else on the mountain laughing, which made the tougher days so much easier. Ramesh also has a great eye for photography, making sure we have amazing memories from the trip. It really felt like we had a friend in him. Rudra was equally fantastic—experienced, friendly, and incredibly supportive. He has a unique bond with nature, talking to birds along the way, which was so cute! If he's your guide, you can rest assured you're in good hands. When my partner fell ill for a few days, Rudra’s advice and encouragement were invaluable. He’s also impressively strong—on one particularly tough day, when I was struggling, he took my bag and practically raced up the mountain! We wouldn't hesitate to book with Nepal Hiking Team again.

If I could give this company 10 stars, I would! I did the 9-day ABC trek in early December 2023 and had the time of my life! Everything was so well-organized, and from the moment I arrived at Kathmandu airport, I felt completely taken care of. My guide, Sagar, was amazing—always making sure I got the best rooms, checking in on me regularly, and pointing out the beautiful sights and views along the trek. He even taught me some Nepali card games! My porter, Surendra, was equally wonderful—despite carrying my bag, he was so quick on the trails. Since I was traveling solo, they both kept me entertained, which made the experience even more special. Ganga’s communication was top-notch. He was incredibly helpful in adjusting my trek when I faced passport issues, making the whole process feel seamless. He also went above and beyond to assist me with visa problems when leaving Nepal, and I’m so grateful for his support. I would return to Nepal Hiking Team in a heartbeat for any future treks in Nepal and can’t recommend them highly enough!
