Egypt

Benefits of a tour guide for Egypt

"Egypt is full of fascinating history, and you will learn so much by having a tour guide show you around the ancient sites."

Any hidden gems?

"We fell in love with a little place called El Gouna. It’s very close to Hurghada and it is absolutely beautiful."

A 'MUST' whilst you're there?

"When in Hurghada you must visit Mahmya Bay. The locals call it the Egyptian Caribbean, personally, we thought this was better than any beach we saw in the Caribbean!"

What should I not skip out on?

"100% when visiting the pyramids you must ride a camel into the desert, it is here that you get the best view. The camels are only allowed to make the trip twice a day."

Top Tips...

"There are a number of hotels where you will have views of the pyramids from your room and they are not expensive. Where we stayed we were able to watch the night show from our balcony."

Favourite time of year to visit Egypt

"We visited in November and not only was the weather lovely but everywhere was so quiet."

One last thing...

"Although not a famous safari country, Senegal has several animal natural reserves. At Bandia, you’ll observe rhinoceros, giraffes, zebras and crocodiles."
