Day 1 : Sofia

Day 2 : Sofia - Boyana - Rila Monastery - Sofia

Meet your local guide at 08:30. Depart to the suburbs of Sofia, where you will visit Boyana Chuech UNESCo site and the National Museum of History.
Since the year 2000, the museum is situated in the former residence of the communist government in Bulgaria, at the foothills of Vitosha mountain. The interior is a cubic structure with a lot of woodcarvings, big windows and open space for receptions. In an area of 6000 square meters, there are over 10 000 artefacts that represent the history of Bulgaria (from the VII millennium B.C. until the mid XX century).

Day 3 : Sofia - Plovdiv

Departure from Sofia to Plovdiv.
Meet your local guide and visit the Old Plovdiv town – an architecture reserve, awarded golden medal by UNESCO. See the Ancient Theatre, the complex of National Revival houses, St. St. Constantine and Helena Church.
Free time along the longest pedestrian street of the world with many small cafes, shops and restaurants, the remains of the Roman forum and Stadium, Djumaya Mosque Square, Kapana – the artistic neighbourhood of Plovdiv. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 4 : Plovdiv – Kazanluk – Shipka - Etura - Veliko Turnovo

Departure north towards the Balkan mountains. Stop for some pictures at Shipka memorial church and Shipka mountain pass. Arrival in Etura open air ethnographic complex and free time for lunch.
Afternoon arrival in Veliko Turnovo - the medieval capital city of Bulgaria. Meet your local guide and visit Tsarevets Citadel and the old part of Veliko Turnovo. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 5 : Veliko Turnovo – Arbanassi - Ruse – Bucharest
Location: Bucharest
Meals Included: Breakfast

Morning departure to Arbanassi museum village, located on a hill above Veliko Turnovo. Visit Nativity Church with a local guide.
Proceed to Ruse border city. Free time in the centre for lunch. Transfer to Bucharest. Arrival around 17:00 o`clock.
