We go to Marangu Gate (1900m) in the morning, which serves as the beginning point for all Kilimanjaro hikes using the Marangu Route. You'll get a chance to photograph the impressive Kilimanjaro and get a sense of the mountain's personality. On this full-day journey, you will discover everything about the history and customs of the indigenous Chagas tribe, who live in the Marangu region. The tiny coffee farm we visit at our next stop will provide you with information on how coffee is grown, picked, and processed locally. Try your own hand at processing, roasting, and preparing a fresh cup of coffee. Once you have finished enjoying your coffee break, we will depart for the Ndoro Waterfalls. Our hike to the base of the waterfall will lead us through a lush green landscape and the descent takes approximately 1 hour. Here you have the opportunity to relax and take a refreshing bath in the pool of the waterfall. Another highlight will be the visit to the Chagas Underground Caves and the Chagas live Museums

In times of drought the Maasai migrated up the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, in search of food and water. They enslaved and killed the local Chagas people. In defence of these attacks, the Chagas built an extensive network of underground caves. Your guide will lively illustrate the conflict while you visit the caves. We then continue to spend some time at the Chagas Live Museum, a small outdoor museum, which will give you further insides into traditional Chagas life. Day trip to Marangu Cultural Tour & Local Coffee Making (cave). Our tour trip also includes a Chagas culinary taste, when we stop for lunch in a small restaurant. Here you will be served a traditional hot meal, later you will also have the chance to try local spirits such as banana beer and wine.

We will give some hint how much to tip your guide, driver etc. In case of exceptional service tip for a driver or tour guide should be 15$-20$ per day, for a cook 10-15$ per day (only on camping safari when you have your own cook, not in lodges), for porters (in a hotel, not Kilimanjaro porters), waiters etc. 1$ per service.
