Mikumi National Park was established in1964 covering an area of 1070 square kilometers; it was later extended in 1975 to cover the current area of 3,230 square kilometres. Mikumi National Park is located to the North of the Nyerere NP (famous Selous Game Reserve). The park is the Seventh largest National Park in Tanzania and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam throughout the year Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons, zebras, leopards, crocodiles and many more. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

Day 1 : Dar Es Salaam To Mikumi Np
Location: Dar es Salaam
Accommodation: Mikumi Safari Lodge

Pick up from the Airport, ferry or Hotel and drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 hours’ drive. You will have a short stop in Morogoro for hot lunch, after lunch proceed to Mikumi NP. Arrive for afternoon game drive until sunset.
Day 2 : Full Day Game Drive In Mikumi Np

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee and tea
After breakfast, you will go for full day game drive in mikumi national park with parked lunch boxes. Animals commonly found Include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and elephants and many more. Wild dog can be seen in packs here. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.
Day 3 : Visit Maasai Tribe Then Drive To Dar Es Salaam
Location: Dar es Salaam
Accommodation: No accommodation (end of safari)
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Wake up for breakfast in the camp and later drive to Maasai tribe. Today you will get the chance to visit Maasai Boma to see how they live and get the history of their tribe. After visiting Maasai Boma you will start driving back to Dar es Salaam with a short stop for hot lunch in Morogoro town. On arrival to Dar es Salaam you will be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
