Day 1 : Arrival Yangon
Location: Yangon
Upon landing at Yangon International Airport, make your own way to the arrivals hall, where your guide will meet you and will start your introductory tour through Yangon City. The first visit will be at the Marble Temple (Kyauktawgyi Buddha), home to 7.6 m tall Buddha. Shortly afterwards, visit Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda, home to a 66-metre long reclining Buddha which is built in 1907 and one of the largest in Myanmar. Experience a traditional cup of Myanmar Tea at a local tea shop (included), a common practice and tradition of socializing within the locals. From here, continue to Shwedagon Pagoda, the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar. Follow the guide’s lead around this massive complex and learn why this temple is so revered. Meet a Buddhist monk at the shrine and experience a private blessing. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the hotel, for check-in.

Day 2 : Yangon – Golden Rock – Yangon (400Km – 8Hr)
Location: Yangon
Early morning, after breakfast at the hotel, start your journey to Golden Rock, a well-known Buddhist pilgrimage site in Mon State. This drive will take approx. 4 hours to Kyaiktiyo Base Camp. From the base camp, travel by local open-air truck along a winding road. Experience a cable car ride from mid mountain to the top of the mountain and return. A huge boulder covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. Golden Rock is one of Myanmar’s most important pilgrimage sites. Offer Gold leaf to the shrine as per local customs. In the afternoon, you will be returned to Yangon, to arrive in the evening at the hotel.

Day 3 : Yangon Departure (20Km – 1Hr)
Location: Yangon
Wake up to one last breakfast at the hotel, and depending on your flight schedule, make the most of your last moments in Yangon at the local shops. Transfer to the airport to continue with your travel arrangements.

Requirements
Visitors of both genders must wear decent clothing to cover the body appropriately when visiting religious places. Shorts and sleeveless tops are not acceptable. This rule is strictly adhered to at all religious sites. Visitors should remove hats, caps, shoes and slippers when entering buildings and sites with religious monuments. Most of these places have a secure facility at the entrance for visitors to leave behind shoes and slippers for a very small fee.
