Tour Overview

Durbar Square, which means Royal Squares in English, is the generic name used to describe plazas and areas opposite the old royal palaces in Nepal. It consists of temples, idols, open courts, water fountains and more. Dakshinkali Temple, located 21 kilometers (14 miles) outside Kathmandu and about 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) outside the village of Pharping, is one of the major hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to the goddess Kali. As a traditional beliefs animal sacrifices, particularly of cockerels and uncastrated male goats, are the main way that the goddess is worshipped, and this is especially seen during the Dashain festival. Pokhara City is in the northwestern corner of Nepal, which is a widening of the Seti Gandaki valley that lies in the region of the Himalayas. Palpa is the ancient hill town of Tansen, which offers a more tranquil atmosphere. We also walk down to observe the cobbled streets in the old bazaar to discover a way of life.
