What level of insurance should I obtain?
Travel Insurance is mandatory for all customers looking to travel in Nepal with the Alpine Ramble Treks. However, The Travel Insurance that you are looking at must cover both the medical and emergency evacuation costs. Somehow, we would like to recommend to our valuable clients that your insurance is worth a minimum of USD 100,000. The beauty of the mighty Himalayas comes with great risks. It is always best to prepare for any unforeseen risks that may arise while traveling in the Himalayas. There are many insurance companies that offer travel insurance services over the Internet- you can find them easily to buy at any time. There are a wide variety of insurance companies based in the region. Especially when it comes to trekking in the Himalayas region of Nepal, there is always a narrow chance of minor health issues, injuries, and most importantly – altitude sickness, etc. It is essential that you choose an insurance policy that covers the cost of the helicopter rescue from the mountains in case of major accidents and acute mountain sickness (AMS). During such extreme cases of emergency evacuation, a helicopter service is the only way out of the mountains. This includes a rescue team for both – ground evacuation and rescue. This is why we require your travel insurance to cover the cost of helicopter services and evacuation from the Himalayas (up to 6000m). It is always better to be safe than sorry.

Altitude Sickness
Altitude sickness as known as acute mountain sickness (A.M.S.) in general may occur when people ascend too quickly normally at altitudes of over 2500 meters above sea level. Our company has been ensured the minimal risk of building in rest days into our trekking itineraries. When you are in a high elevation place most people will feel some effect of altitude, sleeplessness, shortness of breath, and possibly light-headed, which is fairly very common. Acute mountain sickness is very different and normally involves a severe headache, sickness and you can feel that loss of awareness. In almost every possible case there are enough warning signs to take appropriate action. Our company only prefers well trained and experienced guides, in field guide will advise you about any health issues and also altitude sickness while you are on trekking if you have any of this then you should tell to your guide our combine, then they will be suggested you have to use medication for Altitude sickness. Before leaving for the trip also suggest to any of our valuable clients to consult with your Medical Doctor and get advice.

When to travel to Nepal
he climate in Nepal varies with its topography and altitude; the climate is from tropical to arctic. Nepal has divided into three regions of Nepal (Tarai region, Hilly region, and Himali region). The low-land Terai region with its maximum altitude of approximately 305m, which lies in the tropical southern part of the country, for instance, has a hot and humid climate that can rise above 45 Degrees Celsius (113 Degrees Fahrenheit) during summer. The hilly region regions are pleasant almost all year round, although winter nights are cool. The mountain region, around an altitude above 3,300m, has an alpine climate with considerably lower temperatures in winter as can be expected. (Autumn) September, October, and November: This season is one of the best trekking seasons in Nepal which offers excellent weather and magnificent mountain views. All the trekking routes are will be very busy during this season. (Spring) March April and May: This season is the second premium trekking season. At this time the temperature goes quite moderate, but this season is especially the rhododendrons (The national flower of Nepal) are in complete blossom and the mountain views are excellent in the mountain region. (Summer)June, July, and August : The summer season provides the preferable season to trek in the rain shadow areas like the upper Mustang, around Annapurna, etc. these regions are out of reach of the rain clouds because of the huge mountains, and unaffected by the monsoon. This time is the best season for forest researchers and botanists, during this time trek raincoats and insect repellents are strictly required. (Winter) December, January, and February: The winter season in Nepal will be cold on high mountain trekking routes but still a suitable time for trekking and hiking at lower altitudes normally under 3000m high.
