The 3 days adventure in Amboseli allows you to get closest to nature as you view the elephants and other plains animals enjoy the vegetation near the swamps. On a clear day you will enjoy the views of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. This is home to a number of elephant families and this is where you get closest to these gentle giants. As you spend time with the elephants you may be lucky to spot a few predators scanning the dry and dusty savanna. Amboseli offers you some of the best opportunities to see African wildlife because of the sparse vegetation due to the long dry months. The swamps around the Oltukai area and below the Observation Hill provide a good grazing ground for thousands of gigantic elephants, bufalos, hippos and other wild animals. The lakes give life to the animals where they come to quench their thirst after enduring the scotching sun. These waters also provide habitat to the hippos and other aquatic animals. Major birds’ species at the shores of the lakes are flamingos, pelicans, geese, saddle-billed storks, egrets, jacanas to name but a few. One of the best vantage points that will give you a true appreciation of the immense natural beauty of Amboseli is the Observation Hill, a perfect location for sundowners, and the stunning sunsets are not to missed by photographers. The proud Masai people continue to live outside the park borders, following their ancient traditions and tending to their cherished cattle. One of the activities that you engage in is a visit to an authentic village during your exploratory Masai cultural tour in the surrounding Amboseli ecosystem.

Day 1 : Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

Location: Amboseli National Park

Pick up from your hotel after your breakfast. along the Mombasa road past Athi River, taking a turn at Emali and proceeding to Amboseli National Park, nestled on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro Africa’s highest snow-capped Mount, arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in search of the Big game and late evening you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the majestic Mt.Kilimanjaro.

Day 2 : Amboseli National Park

Location: Amboseli National Park

Full day in Amboseli with an early morning game drive return for breakfast, thereafter the rest of the morning spent at leisure enjoying the facilities of the lodge. Enjoy lunch and some leisure time, before later in the afternoon heading out for yet another game viewing drive. Later in the evening return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 : Amboseli - Nairobi

Location: Nairobi

Meals Included: Breakfast

Wake up early with coffee/tea and head off on your last trail of the African savannah – hopefully, you’ll see some big game. Return at the Camp for a delicious breakfast. Thereafter you depart for Nairobi.

Amboseli has a wide variety of accommodation facilities. You can choose between a tented camp and a lodge.
When is the best time to view Mt. Kilimanjaro?

The best time to view the Kilimanjaro including its snow-capped peaks is early in the morning and late in the afternoon.
Is there a supplement for solo travellers?

Yes, there is a single supplement charged.
How far is Amboseli from Nairobi?

Amboseli is about 250km from Nairobi. The drive may last about 4-5 hrs since you drive along the busy Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

Will the accommodation included meet local health and safety regulations?

The accommodation facilities are regulated by the ministry of health and ministry of Tourism and they all meet the health and safety regulations.
What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?

You can change your holiday dates by emailing us directly. But this has to be done 30 days prior.
Do you operate a “single share” option and how does it work?

What policies are in place for Covid-19?

GENERAL TRAVEL REQUIREMENT • All travelers above the age of 12 years arriving into the country through any point of entry will be required to show proof of either COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test conducted not more than 72 hours before departure. NB: Vaccination means having received the prescribed doses of specific vaccine latest shot at least fourteen (14) days before arrival (not including the day of vaccination). • Travelers below the age of twelve (12) years shall be exempt from the requirements of a vaccination certificate or Pre departure PCR test. • Any traveler above the age of twelve (12) arriving at any point of entry with no proof of vaccination or a PCR test or those with flu-like symptoms shall be subjected to a rapid antigen test at their own cost of 30 USD. Any person who tests positive on antigen RDT will be subjected to entry PCR test at their own further cost of 50 USD and self-isolate as per MOH guidance on isolation. • Any traveler arriving at any port of entry into Kenya with flu-like symptoms will be required to fill the passenger locator form on the ‘jitenge’ platform: https://ears.health.go.ke/airline_registration/ and to undergo rapid antigen test at own cost regardless of age or vaccination status. If positive on antigen test they will be required to undergo a COVID-19 PCR test own cost. • Passengers traveling out of the country, will be required to abide by the particular travel, health and COVID-19 related requirements of the transit and destination country • Pre-departure RDT or PCR testing may be considered at the discretion of any of the airlines departing from or terminating in Kenya. • All travellers must obtain their visa in advance, online via: www.evisa.go.ke

This trip trumped my expectations. We where lucky to see many of the animals and experience the wonderful nature in Amboseli. But the highlight of the experience must have been Justus himself, who fixed the logistics, gave good advice, shared his knowledge, arranged the safaris, and went out of his way to help us with planning the trip and being someone you can rely on during the journey.
