Tour Overview
This 8 days Elephant Trails safari allows our guests to get up close with the African elephants. You’ll take part in elephant conservation by appreciating the efforts being made to preserve and protect these threatened pachyderms. We start by taking you to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, where you’ll interact with young elephant calves that have been rescued after being orphaned mainly through poaching. You then proceed to Tsavo East national park. Tsavo East National Park is one of Kenya’s largest game parks, offering untouched wilderness, home to numerous wild animals. The park is unique for its herds of dust-red elephants and hosts more than 10, 000 of them. The Southern part of the park, near river Galana, is ideal for safaris as it provides amazing variety of wildlife. Even though Tsavo East and West National parks are only separated by the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, they are distinct in a number of ways-varying ecosystems. Taita hills wildlife sanctuary is a private Conservancy that is habitat to large herds of elephants. Sometimes one can experience a spectacular show as the elephants come to quench their thirst and cool at the waterhole overlooking the lodge.
