In this experience you'll visit Petén Department, known as the cradle of Mayan Civilization. Tikal & Yaxhá are two of the most emblematic ancient Mayan cities that have been discovered in Guatemala. You'll also visit the city of Flores Petén, filled with colourful streets and a wide variety of hotels and restaurants, where you can taste the delicious local food. The city of Flores is the centre of Petén Department, and from there you will be taking bus rides towards both your Yaxhá Sunset Tour and Tikal Sunrise Tour. This tour ends in Flores Petén, where you can make use of the bus terminal or the airport to continue your adventure in the region on your own.

Day 1 : Transfer Guatemala City — Flores Petén Island
Location: Guatemala City, Flores
Accommodation: Overnight Bus Transfer
Meals Included: Dinner, small meal before your departure
During the afternoon you’ll be picked up at your hotel in Guatemala City and taken to the bus terminal, where you’ll take an overnight bus from Guatemala City to Flores Petén. This transfer takes about 7-8 hours. You will arrive at Flores the second day early in the morning.
Day 2 : Yaxhá Sunset Tour
Location: Yaxha National Park, Flores Island (Guatemala)
Accommodation: Hostel

After arriving in Flores Petén, you need to walk down the colourful island streets to your hotel check-in. At 12:00 p.m. you will take a collective tour towards the Yaxhá Sunset Experience. This transfer takes about 2 hours from Flores to Yaxhá National Park. This sunset tour will allow you to witness the beautiful landscapes and Mayan ruins Yaxhá has to offer. You will finish the experience at the top of Temple 216 for the sunset. Afterwards, you’ll be taken back to Flores and your hotel for an early rest.
Day 3 : Tikal Sunrise Tour
Location: Tikal, Flores Island (Guatemala)
Meals Included: Breakfast
On this day, you'll wake up very early in the morning and take a collective tour towards Tikal National Park, the most iconic Mayan city in the region. The transfer takes about 2 hours, and you’ll be arriving just before the sunrise. After appreciating the magical sunrise from atop the Temple IV, the highest point in the city, you'll begin the guided tour during which you'll learn more in depth about the secrets of the Mayan Civilization in Tikal. At 11:00 a.m. you will take your transport back to Flores, where you’ll have the rest of the day off.
Day 4 : Trip Ending
Location: Flores
Check out of your Hotel. You finish your trip in Flores.
