In this experience you'll visit Petén Department. Tikal is the ancient city that witnessed the peak of the Mayan civilization between 200-900 DC. Tikal is considered to be the most important city and cultural centre of the Mayan civilization. It was home of approximately 150,000, who dedicated a great part of their time to praising their gods. Here you’ll see the 6 main temples, among other smaller buildings, as well as the acropolis. All of this, in addition to the great variety of flora and fauna makes this visit a divine-like experience. If you are lucky enough, you will witness one of the most amazing sunrises a person can experience.

Day 1 : Transfer Guatemala City — Flores Petén Island
Location: Guatemala City, Flores Island (Guatemala)
Accommodation: Overnight Bus Transfer

During the afternoon you’ll be picked up at your hotel in Guatemala City and taken to the bus terminal, where you’ll take an overnight bus from Guatemala City to Flores Petén. This transfer takes about 7-8 hours. You will arrive at Flores the second day early in the morning.
Day 2 : Flores Island
Location: Flores Island (Guatemala)

After arriving in Flores Petén, you need to walk down the colourful island streets to your hotel check-in. Enjoy the island restaurants, markets and streets at your own pace. You’ll have the rest of the day for yourself. Make sure to get some early rest, as you will have to wake up very early the next day for your Tikal Sunrise Tour.
Day 3 : Tikal Sunrise Tour
Location: Tikal, Flores Island (Guatemala)
Meals Included: Breakfast
On this day, you'll wake up very early in the morning so you can take a collective tour towards Tikal National Park, the most iconic Mayan city in the region. The transfer takes about 2 hours, and you’ll be arriving just before the sunrise. After appreciating the magical sunrise from atop the Temple IV, the highest point in the city, you'll begin the guided tour during which you'll learn more in depth about the secrets of the Mayan Civilization in Tikal. At 11:00 a.m. you will take your transport back to Flores and you0ll check out from your accommodation. You’ll have the rest of the day off. You finish your trip in Flores Petén. If you needed transport back to Guatemala City, we can arrange your return.
