In this tour you'll visit the ancient Mayan city, Yaxhá. In this iconic archaeological site, you can find lots of signs of advancement in the areas of astronomy and mathematics. In Yaxhá you’ll have the opportunity to climb majestic temples, that were destined for astronomic purposes. Yaxhá is considered the best kept secret of the Mayan World. The park has more than 500 structures and the Yaxhá Lake. For this experience you will witness a beautiful sunset at the top of Temple 216, with the Yaxhá lake as part of the scenery.

Day 1 : Transfer Guatemala City — Flores Petén Island
Location: Flores Island (Guatemala), Guatemala City
Accommodation: Overnight Bus Transfer
Meals Included: Dinner, small meal before your departure
During the afternoon you’ll be picked up at your hotel in Guatemala City and taken to the bus terminal, where you’ll take an overnight bus from Guatemala City to Flores Petén. This transfer takes about 7-8 hours. You will arrive at Flores the second day early in the morning.
Day 2 : Yaxhá Sunset Tour
Location: Yaxha National Park, Flores Island (Guatemala)
Accommodation: Hostel

After arriving in Flores Petén, you need to walk down the colourful island streets to your hotel check-in. At 12:00 p.m. you will take a collective tour towards the Yaxhá Sunset Experience. This transfer takes about 2 hours from Flores to Yaxhá National Park. This sunset tour will allow you to witness the beautiful landscapes and Mayan ruins Yaxhá has to offer. You will finish the experience at the top of Temple 216 for the sunset. Afterwards, you’ll be taken back to Flores and your hotel to rest.
Day 3 : Trip Ending
Location: Flores Island (Guatemala)
You finish your trip in Flores Petén. If you needed transport back to Guatemala City, we can arrange your return.
