Day 1: Borgarfjordur - Borgarnes, Iceland
Location: Borgarnes
Arrival and West Iceland
Arrive and pick up your rental car. Explore some of the interesting sights in West Iceland such as the spectacular lava fields and mountains of Borgarfjordur. You'll spend the night in Borgarnes. Please note that you must be a minimum of 20 years old to take this tour, and have a valid driving license and a credit cart for the car rental.

Day 2: Borgarnes - Akureyri, Iceland
Location: Akureyri
Akureyri and Trollaskagi
Drive through the pleasant mountain landscapes of the North West. Today, you'll visit Akureyri downtown, Akureyrarkirkja and the botanical gardens. Spend the night in the cool capital of the north, Akureyri. Overnight in Akureyri.

Day 3: Akureyri - Egilsstadir, Iceland
Location: Egilsstadir
Lake Myvatn and the Waterfalls of the North
Discover the fascinating sights around the Lake Myvatn - volcanic craters, bubbling geothermal activity, rock formations and more! We'll visit the Godafoss waterfall and the Hverir geothermal area. Take a detour to the powerful Dettifoss waterfall on your way to the East and also see the Jokulsargljufur glacial canyon. Other highlights include the lava rock formations at Dimmuborgir, the Skutustadagigar pseudocraters and the Grjotagja cave. Overnight in Egilsstadir.

Day 4: Egilsstadir - Hofn, Iceland
Location: Hofn
The Eastfjords
Follow the coastal route through the peaceful Eastfjords with options for detours to some of the more charming fishing villages, scenic fjords or a drive around the mystical Lake Lagarfljot. Overnight in Hofn.

Day 5: Hofn - Vik or Hvolsvollur, Iceland
Location: Vik or Hvolsvollur
Explore the South Coast
The scenic south coast is home to many of Iceland's most famous attractions and some offbeat ones. Visit beautiful glaciers lagoons, waterfalls, black sand beaches and dramatic cliffs with views of world-famous glacier-volcanoes along the way. Highlights will include Skaftafell nature reserve with Svartifoss waterfall, the Fjadrargljufur canyon, the Jokulsarlon and Fjallsarlon glacier lagoons, the famous waterfall duo of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss, the Reynisfjara black sand beach and basalt columns, and Dyrholaey arch. Overnight in Vik or Hvolsvollur.

Day 6: Vik or Hvolsvollur - Reykjavik, Iceland
Location: Reykjavik
Golden Circle
Drive to the Golden Circle, and see the three famous sights - Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir. Explore the Geysir geothermal area with Strokkur which erupts every 8-10 minutes. Marvel at Gullfoss, the golden falls, and explore Thingvellir National Park with the rift valley between the tectonic plates. There are also several options for activities and lesser-visited gems in this area. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 7: Reykjavik, Iceland
Location: Reykjavik

A flexible day to spend time getting to know the capital of Reykjavik or the wonders of the Reykjanes peninsula before your departure. Highlights today include seeing Reykjavik old harbour, Harpa Concert Hall, Solfar sculpture, Hallgrimskirkja church, and Laugavegur.
