Arrival in San Jose
Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival, our representative will greet you at the airport and hand you your travel information. Afterwards, he will take you to your hotel for the first two nights. From there, you can visit the Central Market, the outskirts of the National Theater and La Plaza de La Cultura.

Transfer to Montezuma (B/L/D)
In the morning, your shuttle will pick you up at your hotel and the journey goes to Montezuma located in the north Pacific of Costa Rica. The staff of the volunteer project will welcome you and will do a brief explanation of the turtle conservation program. Please ask your contact person about the rules and requirements to participate in the volunteer program.

Volunteer Program in Montezuma (B/L/D)
Today is the first day of your Volunteer Program! For the five days you're on this project, you'll help our local partners who are dedicated to sea turtle conservation. Depending on the necessities of the program, you will be assigned to help with different tasks, for example, night patrol, monitoring of turtles nest, construction and maintenance of the trails, community projects with the local school and parks.

Transfer to La Fortuna (B)
In the morning after breakfast, you will be heading towards La Fortuna, the village on the foot of the world-famous Arenal Volcano with your shared shuttle. You have plenty of time during the next few days to discover the Arenal area and Arenal Volcano as well as to enjoy seeing many wild animals!

Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs (B/D)
Today you are going to have free time in the morning to explore La Fortuna. In the afternoon, your local bilingual guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and take you to the Arenal Volcano National Park, here you will reach the old lava flow of 1968 and with the expertise of the local guide you will learn a lot of the rainforest flora and fauna. After the volcano hike, your next stop will be the relaxing hot springs, enjoy a delicious cocktail surrounded by tropical gardens and then, go to the restaurant to have your buffet dinner because after all the adventure, you must be hungry!

Free Day in La Fortuna (B)
This day is at leisure for you to enjoy your hotel's facilities or to visit the nearby attractions such as: Hanging Bridges Park, La Fortuna Waterfall, ATV's, Horseback riding, Campesino day, Sloth observation or just lay back and relax in the Northern part of Costa Rica. Note: optional activities not included in the price.

Transfer to Monteverde (B)
Today your adventure will continue to the Cloud Forest Region Monteverde. After breakfast, you will be picked up by a shuttle that will take you to a small dock in Arenal Dam, from there, you will board a boat that will take you to the other side of the lake while admiring the beautiful landscapes depicted in this scene, when on the other shore, another shuttle will take you to your hotel in Monteverde. In the afternoon, you have time to visit the village St. Elena.

Zipline and the Trapiche Tour (B)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Then, the local guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and he will drive you to the next adventure, zipline in the cloud forest! Get ready to experience a high dose of adrenaline with the high-speed cables of Monteverde. In the afternoon, you will experience a cultural activity with the Trapiche Tour, a costarican family business where you can enjoy a 2-hour tour. The tour begins with a short walk through the farm where you can get a glimpse of plantations as sugar cane, coffee, cocoa and more. Enjoy the entire coffee process, the traditional cocoa process and sugar cane process, ride a costarican oxcart and experience the process of making liquor out of the sugar cane, also you can do your own candy, to finish delight yourself with a fragrant cup of coffee from our farm and a traditional dish of picadillo de arracache.

Free day in Monteverde (B)
Today, you can lay back and enjoy a nice walk in the town outskirts leading you to amazing views. If you are interested in having a more thorough experience, here are some ideas: Mountain Biking Experience, Hanging Bridges, Horseback Riding, Waterfall Hike, Birdwatching, Santa Elena or Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve guided visits, Night Walk or Coffee Tour. Note: optional activities not included in the price.

Transfer back to San Jose (B)
In the afternoon at 14:00 hrs, your shared shuttle will meet you at the hotel lobby to return to San Jose.
