Easter Island Airport Pick-up - Ahu Akivi Half Day Tour
Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Get settled into your accommodation and then prepare for an afternoon excursion to Ahu Akivi, Puna Pau Quarry, and The Te Pahu Cavern. First, enjoy a 20-minute walk to the underground cave, Te Pahu Cavern that was once home for the tribes. At Ahu Akivi you will see the 7 stunning Moais. Each statue weighs around 18 tons and stands nearly 16-feet tall facing the east and the rising sun. Listen to the legendary stories about the origin of these statues and other mysteries about the island as you awe at the scenic landscapes around you. Finally, head to Puna Pau Quarry, a crater of an old volcano. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your accommodation with free time to enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 2: Anakena, Chile

Have an early breakfast at your hotel and begin the day with a full-day excursion to explore the island and Moai route found here. Awe at the ancient giant sculptures carved out of volcanic rock dotting the landscape and get the chance to visit the “Ahu” ceremonial platforms. See Ahu Akahanga, the burial site for the island’s first king. Then your tour will bring you to the southern coast of the island and the Rano Raraku Volcano. See Ahu Tongariki which is formed by 15 Moais, the largest platform on the island. This area was destroyed by a tsunami in 1960 but was restored by a Japanese foundation. See a massive spherical rock and Moai Paro, the largest statue on the island as you visit Ahu Te Pito Kura. Then enjoy the beautiful beach of Anakena before transferring back to your accommodation with free time to enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 3: Orongo, Chile

Orongo & Rano Kau Half Day Tour (B)
Have breakfast at your hotel and then embark on another exciting excursion to the southwest coast of the island today where you will see the Rano Kau Volcano and visit the Orongo Ceremonial City. First, visit the pristine slopes of the Rano Kau Volcano with a crater lake and impressive views of Motu Kao Kao, Motu Iti and Motu Nui islets. This crater lake is one of the island’s three freshwater lakes.
Continue to the village of Orongo which thrived between 1600 – 1866 AD as a worship center. Its remnants include famous petroglyphs and over 50 elliptically-shaped homes with square-shaped entrances overlooking the ocean. Learn about the mystical legends and intriguing history of this site from your local guide.
Finally, you will head towards one of the most important ceremonial centers on the island and one of the most mysterious, Vinapu. Marvel at this fabulous archeological complex, where the carving techniques present surprising similarities with the Inca structures. Transfer back to your accommodation with free time to enjoy your last evening on the island at leisure.
