Day 1: Chiang Mai, Thailand

After being picked up from your accommodation you’ll be driven south of Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon National Park (home to the highest peak in Thailand) where you will have the unique opportunity to visit the shrine of King Inthawichayanon, the twin stupas that commemorate King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit, the Royal Agricultural Research station in Angkhang, the Karen Hill tribe terrace and rice field at Ban Mae Klang Luang and two different and very beautiful waterfalls, the Sirithan and Wachirathan Waterfalls. After a long and exciting day you'll be transported back to your accommodation.

After being picked up and taken to the Chiang Mai cultural center, the dinner guests will enjoy local and traditional dishes that include; sticky rice, fried pork, northern chili paste, pork curry, sweet crispy rice and deep-fried plantain and soft drinks and water, followed by a traditional finger dance, sword dance and candle dances where the participation of the audience is encouraged. To top off the night, a customary tribal dance will close the entertainment and the guests will transferred and dropped off at their accommodation.

After being picked up from your accommodation in Chiang Mai City we will stop in Mae Kachan hot spring for a quick pit stop before continuing to Chiang Rai. The Wat Rong Khun Temple is a privately owned art exhibit in the style of a Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. Here we will marvel at the architecture before continuing to the Golden Triangle, a view point where you can see Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar’s boarders from the same spot. The town of Mae Sai is a major border crossing between Thailand and Myanmar (where people trade tax free), we will stop here to enjoy our lunch before continuing to the final stops of our day adventure After the Akha and Palong Hilltribe villages will end our tour and transport to your accommodation in Chiang Mai City will be provided.

You will get picked up between 8.00 - 8.30 a.m. from your accommodation. Once everybody's on board the van, we will take a scenic 1.5-hour drive to the starting point of the trek. Lace up your trekking shoes and set off into the jungle for an exhilarating and moderate hike lasting approximately 3 - 4 hours.
Take photos of the beautiful scenery with a relaxing break to enjoy the nature, views, wildlife, and visit the bat cave. Along the way we will stop by different tribal villages to take a peek into the unique lives of the native people.
Before heading back, we will stop at a pristine waterfall where you can take a refreshing swim. When we reach the van we will hop back in a take a 1.5-hour ride back to Chiang Mai, arriving at approximately 6:00pm. This is the perfect trip for nature-lovers!
