Upon arrival at Colombo CMB Airport, you will meet and greet by the tour leader and then will be transferred to your hotel. The first destination will be Negombo coastal town, which has long been known as the most popular beach in Sri Lanka, famous for its golden sandy beach, food and fun. For day one we haven't planned any activity, so you will have a relaxing day on the beach.

> Early in the morning, if you are up to it, you could enjoy a wonderful hot-air balloon tour (it has to be pre-booked).
> Thereafter, visit the famous Sigiriya Lion Rock, an ancient rock fortress located near the town of Dambulla. King Kasyapa (477 – 495 BC) built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE and it is one of the best-preserved examples of an ancient architecture.

After breakfast, depart from Dambulla towards Passikuda, is a delightful sandy beach that was a well-kept secret in the past, but now few restaurants and pubs are opening up to visitors. Passikuda is also characterized by white sands and coconut palms growing right from the edge of the sea as if in imitation of a postcard of the perfect tropical beach. The Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is an official authorization for a Short Visit to Sri Lanka issued via an online system. You need ETA if you wish to visit Sri Lanka as a Tourist, on Business or on Transit. No passport copies, documents or photographs are required to obtain ETA. It will cost USD $30. However, during the sometime of the year government offers FREE visa for tourists.

Best time to visit Sri Lanka?
There is no particularly the best time to visit Sri Lanka. It is a tropical country and a year-round destination with two monsoon seasons. The western and southern areas experience their monsoon season from May to July while the northern and eastern areas are affected by the monsoon between October and November.
