The first destination will be Negombo coastal town (20min away from the airport), which has long been known as the most popular beach in Sri Lanka, famous for its golden sandy beach, food, and fun.

# Thereafter, proceed to Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka's largest and oldest national park with an area of 130,000 hectares. We would like you to visit this park because we believe it is less crowded and it offers better experiences. Also, the same animals can be seen here as in Yala.

Day 3 - 4 : Explore The Northern Part Of Sri Lanka

It's a city located on the top corner of Sri Lanka, is a city that was kept away from the tourist trail due to the 30- year civil war which ended in 2009. It is now rising as a must-see Sri Lankan holiday destination as it offers much to do and it has a fascinating culture that is markedly different from that of the rest of the island, influenced by many traditions from South India.

# En route to Jaffna, you will have an opportunity to witness the unique landscape of the northern part of the island along the A9 Highway.
# Upon arrival, you have one and a half days to explore this incredible location. Jaffna has full of hidden treasures including the famous Nagadeepa Buddhist Temple, Nallur Kandaswamy, a huge Hindu temple with golden arches and an ornate Gopuram tower. The star-shaped Jaffna Fort was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century and it was later occupied by the Dutch and British. Jaffna Public Library is the symbol of post-war regeneration. Jaffna Archaeological Museum has Dutch cannons and pre-colonial artifacts.

# In the morning, visit Sigiriya Rock, an ancient rock fortress located near the town of Dambulla. King Kasyapa (477 – 495 BC) built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. Sigiriya is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE and it is one of the best-preserved examples of ancient architecture.
# Thereafter, you'll enjoy a wonderful cultural village tour while exploring the beautiful countryside (ADMISSION FEES INCLUDED). It will start with a Bullock Cart ride, one of the most ancient and prime transportation systems in Sri Lanka, still used in some villages. While on the tour you will also enjoy a canoeing boat ride across the lake and a Tuk-tuk drive before reaching the farmer’s house where you will experience the typical Sri Lankan countryside hospitality.

Day 8 : Royal Polonnaruwa / Pidurangala Monstery

# Early in the morning, if you are up to it, you could enjoy a wonderful hot-air balloon tour (need to be pre-booked).
# Upon arrival, visit Polonnaruwa (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE), in 1070 King Vijayabahu chose this place as his kingdom, one of the most ancient in the history of Sri Lanka. Cycling through Polonnaruwa's ancient locations is a wonderful experience.
# Afternoon, join with trekking to Pidurangala Forest Monastery (optional activity) to witness and take photos of the sunset. Climbing Pidurangala rock is a bit challenging, so you should not attempt it if you are not physically strong enough. There is no clear path to the top: steep paths and uneven steps give way to an expanse of boulders and crevices that climbers must navigate in order to reach the summit. It is often referred to as “Little England” because many of the buildings in this city retain from the British colonial period, such as the Queen's Cottage, the General's House, the Grand Hotel, the Hill Club, and the Town Post Office.

# Thereafter, stop at the Peradeniya Royal Garden, which is known as one of the best botanical gardens in Asia. You will walk through it by exploring the 300 varieties of orchids, a stately avenue of royal palms, the extraordinary, aptly named cannonball fruit tree and 40m-high Burma bamboo. Another big hit is the giant fig tree on the great lawn, with its colossal central trunk and umbrella-like canopy of branches.
# While driving through the cold and misty hills that host lush green tea plantations, stop at a tea factory to observe the rich tradition of making Ceylon tea kept alive up to date. Make sure to end your factory visit in style over a perfectly blended cup of tea.

Day 11 : Spectacular Train Journey / Mini Adam's Peak

# In the morning, you will enjoy a spectacular train journey from Nanu-oya station to Ella village. It is known as one of the most picturesque hill country train journeys in the world (Train tickets will be arranged at the station / Class category is subject to availability).
# Explore the village; Ella is everyone’s favorite hill country village due to the fact that it’s a wonderful nature-friendly location. The Nine Arch Bridge, a major tourist attraction in Ella, is a massive bridge built entirely of solid rocks, bricks and cement without using a single piece of steel. Ella is an excellent place for walking and its most famous trekking route is “Mini Adam’s Peak”.
