Day 2 : Limassol – Kourion, Kolossi, Omodos & Wine Full Day Tour – Limassol (100Km – 2Hrs)

Location: Limassol

Enjoy a delightful breakfast at the hotel before today's tour. Cyprus is all rolling hills dotted with pretty villages. On this small group tour, you'll see where a legend was born, visit the ruins of Kourion, venture to the village of Omodos and cap off the day with a wine tasting. You'll dive straight into the past at Kourion, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Cyprus. Visit the Roman baths and amble into the site's centrepiece, the Greco-Roman theatre where concerts are still held to this day. Explore the mosaics of the trio of excavated houses known as those of Eustolius, the Gladiators and Achilles as impressive as when they were laid down. The 15th-century Kolossi Castle is up next. This steeped-in-legend Crusader-built fortress is nowadays surrounded by blooming plants. Then, we'll head to mountain-fringed Omodos, where you'll enjoy a local lunch in a family-run taverna and have free time to wander around skinny cobbled streets lined with Byzantine buildings enjoying the tranquillity and peacefulness. Next, there's a winery tour, where you'll learn all about sweet commandaria wine – one of the oldest varieties in the world before returning to the hotel.

Overnight in Limassol.

Day 3 : Limassol – Nicosia – Limassol (170Km – 2Hrs)

Location: Limassol

Have breakfast at the hotel before today's tour of Nicosia. As the last divided capital in the world, Nicosia is a fascinating city to explore – offering you a glimpse of two very different worlds. This tour starts in the Cypriot southern sector and crosses the Green Line buffer zone to explore the Turkish-occupied north. Your first stop is the St. John's Cathedral built in Franco-Byzantine style. Next up is a walking tour through the historic streets of Laiki Geitonia inside the Venetian city walls. It's a maze of winding streets with churches, squares and ornate buildings. After crossing the Green Line, you'll hear tales of the city's history and culture as you tick off some of the main sites – Market Square included. Then cross back into the southern sector to Ledra Street and embrace modern city life under your own steam.

Overnight in Limassol.

Your journey into the past starts all the way back in classical times at Salamis. You'll explore its ruined temples, the partially restored theatre and more. After free time for lunch, you'll visit Famagusta, whose old town is still protected by intact defensive walls built by the Venetians centuries ago. Your guide will show you sights such as the castle and the Gothic cathedral-turned-mosque. To round off the visit, there's a walking tour of the ‘ghost town' of Varosha. This once-popular beach resort has been abandoned since the Turkish invasion and was only opened to visitors in 2020.
