Murchison Falls National Park is named after the dramatic Murchison falls where River Nile explodes violently through a narrow 7 m gap to fall a distance of 47m. This national park features grassland savannah teeming with wildlife, shady, humid forest sparking lakes and fertile wetlands making it ideal habitant for classic big games, ten primates species including chimpanzees and over 600 birds around Victoria Nile with its banks lined in with hippos, buffalos and elephants among others. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Wildlife Ranch located in Nakasongola district is the proud home of the only wild White Rhinos in Uganda. All of this is on top of all main highlights like; Chimpanzees tracking, Game drives, White Rhinos tracking, Boat safaris on the beautiful Victoria Nile. Day 1 : To Murchison Falls National Park For An Afternoon Game Drive

Location: Murchison Falls National Park Uganda

Accommodation: Safari Lodge

On this day, you will have your breakfast and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive will take you through Luwero triangle and Budongo forest in the western arm of the Rift Valley where you will also be rewarded with splendid views of the countryside.

You will arrive to Murchison Falls National Park in the afternoon, have lunch and go for your afternoon game drive where you will expect to see elephant, buffalo, antelopes and giraffe and keep your fingers crossed for lion and leopard. The game track network converges at Delta Point where the Nile flows north out of Lake Albert; this is a convenient place to stop for refreshments and view water birds offshore and distant hippos.

After your Afternoon game drive, you will check in to Fort Murchison Lodge (ww.naturelodgesuganda.com) for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay in self-contained room with clean shared bathroom facilities.

The lodge is set in a beautiful surrounding and looks out on the majestic Albert Nile that always add to the safari experience of its guests.

All meals and drinking water are included.

Day 2 : Chimpanzees Tracking, Swimming & Afternoon Game Drive

Location: Budongo Central Forest Reserve, Murchison Falls National Park Uganda

Accommodation: Safari Lodge

On this day, you will wake up early and have breakfast before moving to Budongo forest, Murchison Falls National Park for Chimpanzees Tracking experience where you will have the opportunity to follow an experienced guide into the forest to observe these fascinating creatures at a close range. Watching them interact with each other and go about their daily routine of grooming, playing and foraging is an incredible experience. While your chances of encountering chimpanzees are high during your tracking excursion, it is never 100% guaranteed. These are, after all, wild animals with wills and minds of their own!.

In the afternoon after Chimpanzees tracking, you will return to the lodge for lunch, swimming and relaxation before going for your evening game drive where you will expect to see elephant, buffalo, antelopes and giraffe and keep your fingers crossed for lion and leopard.

After your evening game drive, you will return to Fort Murchison Lodge (www.naturelodgesuganda.com) for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay in self-contained room with clean shared bathroom facilities.

Day 3 : Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Safari On Victoria Nile & Hiking

Location: Murchison Falls National Park Uganda

Accommodation: Safari Lodge

On this day, your safari breakfast will be served before the day breaks so that you can start your early morning game drive as the sun comes up. Sunrise is the best time for wildlife spotting as animals tend to be the most active during the “golden hours”, when the first rays of sunshine come to rest on the savannah. Elephants, buffalo and several species of antelope are some characters you may come across today, & if you’re lucky, you may even spot a lion or leopard.

You will return for lunch in the afternoon & go for a 3-hours boat safari upstream on the Victoria Nile to the falls where you will pass by breathtaking scenery, as well as many crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys & other animals that come down to the Nile. The boat will drop you near the waterfall for your hike (1-1.5 hours) up to the top of the falls (optional).

After your boat safari on Victoria Nile, you will return to Fort Murchison Lodge (www.naturelodgesuganda.com) for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay in self-contained room with clean shared bathroom facilities.

Day 4 : Rhino Tracking & Departure

Location: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Entebbe aircargo transporter

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

On this day, you will enjoy your last sunrise in this beautiful side of Uganda with your safari breakfast served early so that you can transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
You will arrive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in the morning hours and then enter the territory of the southern white rhinos on foot where well-trained rangers will guide you through the bush to where the white rhinos are. You will get the opportunity to watch these endangered, magnificent creatures in their natural habitat before proceeding to back to Kampala.
After your White Rhino tracking, you will have your lunch at Kabaleega dinners before your guide drives you across the beautiful sceneries back to Entebbe International Airport.

My husband and I just returned from a 9-day trip to Uganda and we certainly wish we had more time. The country and the people are beautiful but what made the trip even more enjoyable for us was our tour guide Edie from Ecovic Tours. He is very knowledgeable, accommodating and has a great sunny personality! Since this is our first trip, we relied a lot on Edie's expertise on how to best spend our short stay and what the local customs are. Overall, it was quite an enriching experience which wouldn't have been possible if we didn't have an excellent guide like Edie. We are also very pleased with the sales team, particularly Vincent who has assisted us with the planning of the trip. We wanted to see many places in a limited amount of time, but Vincent was able to create an itinerary for us that suited what we wanted and packed it with some of the most exciting activities possible given our short stay...
