Our Whole of Europe route is a fast-paced tour of some of the world's most awe-inspiring destinations. Experience authentic European backpacking, travelling with a small group of likeminded people, staying in hostels and travelling on public transport with an experienced guide.
You’ll have between one and three days in each city, making this the ultimate fast-paced tour of some of the continent's best. With unmissable included activities and an exciting library of optional excursions as well as plenty of opportunities for self-guided exploring, this is the ultimate way to experience all that Europe has to offer.
Travelling with you throughout, your tour leader will ensure your trip goes smoothly; making sure you arrive in each destination safely. They’ll also co-ordinate essential and optional activities such as walking tours and pub crawls. Please note that the Oct 2024 departure is exclusively for females! All other departures are mixed-gender.

Day 1 : Meet Your Tour Leader And Fellow Travellers!

It's an early start - but an exciting one, because today is the first day of your group tour! Make your way to Kings Cross station to meet up with the rest of your group and the tour leader - you'll have already had the chance to speak with everyone on WhatsApp so you can pick up from where you left off as you take the Eurostar towards Amsterdam. You'll arrive into the Netherlands late-afternoon, where you'll head to the hostel to get checked in and freshened up, before meeting up with everyone in the hostel bar for some boozy bingo.
Day 2 : Explore The Netherlands' Capital!

Your first full day in Amsterdam! Wake up (hopefully nice and fresh) and head to your included activity - an all you can eat pancake boat canal tour! After this, you'll have the rest of the day to explore Amsterdam however you like! Visit some of the many museums and art galleries around the city. Then take advantage of Amsterdam's nightlife in the evenings.
Day 3 : Your Last Night In Amsterdam

Day three is all yours! Stroll through the tranquil parks, relax on the canal side, or hit one of the coffee shops. Head to Foodhallen for the munchies…you won't be disappointed. Enjoy your last night in Amsterdam exploring the famous Red Light District, or strolling the canals and bridges for the last time.
Day 4 : Next, Berlin!

Today, head to the bustling Berlin! This capital is one of the coolest in the world, so be sure to explore every inch of it! Drop your stuff off at the hostel when you arrive, then head out for a drink in one of the many pub gardens.
Day 5 : Your Second Day In Berlin

In the morning, you'll be taken to Berlin's TV Tower (included activity) where you can appreciate the 360 views of the city! Perhaps take a stroll to the Berlin Wall to marvel at the incredible art at the East Side Gallery. You'll have free time for the rest of the stay in Berlin – the perfect opportunity to explore and marvel at the contrast between old and new – take a bike or walking tour, or book yourself tickets to the Reichstag dome! In the evening, grab a drink at the hostel before diving into Berlin's infamous nightlife.
Day 6 : Goodbye, Berlin!

Your last full day in Berlin! Be sure to see everything you didn't yesterday, and grab a souvenir from one of Berlin's huge flea markets, you can find just about anything here, so keep your eyes peeled. Make the most of your final evening in Germany by tasting some German beer, and listening to some Techno.
Day 7 : Up Next - Prague!

Today you'll be taking the train East to the Czech capital of Prague. Drop your stuff off at the hostel before exploring this Medieval city. This evening the group will have an included activity - something we can guarantee no one has done before - a 5 course meal in a medieval tavern! Fill your boots with Czech food and beer (all included) while watching a traditional belly dancing show...also featuring snakes and sword fights - sounds like the perfect night, right?
Day 8 : Your Final Night In Prague
Location: Prague

Dust off those cobwebs early-doors as it's your last day to see Prague! The city centre is crammed full of history and architecture, you’ll feel like you’re walking around a fairytale city. Take in the beauty of Prague from the Vltava River. End your stay here by dancing the night away in one of the cities many clubs.
Day 9 : Explore The Bohemian City
Location: Budapest

Next, to Budapest! Prepare to be blown away by this Bohemian city. Head out for some Hungarian cuisine, and be sure to not miss out on the ruins bar at night.
Day 10 : Relax At The Szecheyni Baths
Location: Budapest
Accommodation: Hostel
Day 2 of your stay in Budapest - The Szecheyni Baths. Spend the day relaxing under the sun, grab some lunch and enjoy the famous baths. Be sure to end your relaxing day by grabbing a sweet/savory Langallo, a traditional Hungarian food, and one not to be missed!
Day 11 : Free Time In Budapest

You'll have a free day in Budapest, be sure to explore the city on two wheels, discover the beautiful architecture of Fisherman’s Bastion and the Hungarian Parliament, or hire a buggy to tour Margaret Island. This city has so much offer, from the food, to the architecture, and the art! Soak it all up before you head to Austria's capital the next day.
Day 12 : A Quick Trip To Vienna
Location: Vienna

Take the train to Vienna in the morning. Spend the afternoon admiring the Palaces around the city, before heading to Prater Park for the included group activity. Vienna has a vibrant nightlife and some of the best bars to offer.
Day 13 : From Vienna To Venice
Location: Vienna, Venice
Accommodation: Hostel
Your one night stay in Vienna is coming to an end, spend the morning here strolling Naschmarkt for some artsy bargains, or treat yourself to afternoon tea in one of Vienna’s civilised cafes. Get some snacks before heading onto your train to Venice! When you arrive, you'll have the evening to relax.
Day 14 : A Dreamy Gondola Ride
Location: Venice
Accommodation: Hostel
The next day will be the group activity - a dreamy gondola ride through to the grand canal. You'll then have some free time to explore the city - be sure to book a ticket to Scala Contarini del Bovolo to see some great views! Watch the sky turn from blue to yellow to a deep pink as the sun sets from the Rialto Bridge, then enjoy some delicious, local seafood from one of the many incredible restaurants. This will be the last night for the first half of the group, so be sure to have a good send off in ANDA!
Day 15 : Venice Free Day
Location: Venice

The next day in Venice is yours to spend how you like. We've loads of optional activities you can sign up for here, and if none of them float your boat (or gondola..), then there's plenty of day trips you can take from here - or you can simply relax on one of the nearby beaches. Whatever you end up doing, you've new group members joining the tour tonight so be sure to catch up with them!
Day 16 : Exploring The Islands
Location: Venice
Accommodation: Hostel
Your last full day in Venice and your first full day with the 'Western Europe' members - you'll get to know one another by visiting the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. Tomorrow you'll be off to Rome, so spend the rest of your evening seeing what you haven't yet - or squeeze in another aperitivo, or two.
Day 17 : Ciao, Roma!
Location: Rome
Accommodation: Hostel
Head South to Rome, the country's capital, where you'll stay for 2 nights. There's an endless amount of things to see and do here. Simply wander the streets, eat some home-made pasta, or drink from the fountain outside the Spanish steps!
Day 18 : Roaming Rome
Location: Rome
Accommodation: Hostel
Start off your day with the included activity - the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Get ready to soak up and marvel at the jaw-dropping art and history! You'll then have the rest of the day free. Don't miss the Colosseum and Roman Forum, these tickets sell out pretty quick, so make sure you book these in advance!
Day 19 : Next Stop, Florence

Next, you'll be travelling to Florence and staying for 2 nights. this city is the epicenter of art history (even some supermarkets hold treasured art pieces!). Your first day there could be spent exploring the gardens of Bobilli, or the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, or simply strolling through the endless streets. When you're hungry, you can grab a bite to eat at Central Market, a large indoor food market serving everything from fresh handmade pasta to vegan poke bowls. This place does not disappoint!
Day 20 : Fancy A Wine Tour?
Location: Florence
Accommodation: Hostel
The included activity for Florence is a Chianti Wine Tour. The group will head out in the afternoon and spend a few hours there admiring the beautiful vineyard and green scenery. Return in the late evening and feel like an Italian wine conossiour! The rest of the time there is yours - we recommend watching the sunset from Piazzale Michelangelo, where there's usually some jazzy live music.
Day 21 : The French Riviera
Location: Nice

After your Italian escape, the group will travel to Nice, on the French Riviera, and enjoy 3 lively nights here! Start off your stay here by roaming the glamorous streets and endless high-end shops. Admire the beautiful colourful French buildings as you pass them...you can't see this anywhere else.
Day 22 : Scuba Time!
Location: Nice
Accommodation: Hostel
The next day you'll have the morning free, then its scuba diving time! You'll be taken on a boat around 40 minutes from the Port, where you'll get your gear on and go swimming with the fish in the coral reef. This is truly a unique experience. You'll have the rest of the evening free to relax with some French wine.
Day 23 : Soak Up The Sunshine In Nice

Enjoy your final day in this glamorous city by basking in the sunshine on one of the many beaches. End your stay dancing on the tables in Wayne's Bar, before heading to Barcelona the next morning.
Day 24 : Bon Dia, Barcelona!
Location: Barcelona

Bon dia, Barcelona! You'll arrive in the late afternoon, which gives you time to recharge with some obligatory tapas! Venture down Las Ramblas or to the Gothic Quarter to see the most lively parts!
Day 25 : Chef's Kiss
Location: Barcelona
Accommodation: Hostel
Hasn't everyone always wanted to cook good traditional tapas for themselves? Well today you're going to learn how from a Spanish chef! The group's activity will be a tapas cooking class in the afternoon, then the rest of the day is yours to explore the Catalan Capital however you like. Seek out Gaudi's many buildings, take the cable cars up to Montjuic Castle, or simply stroll through the parks.
Day 26 : Free Day In Barcelona
Location: Barcelona
Accommodation: Hostel
Make the most of your final day in Barcelona. Explore the huge flea, food and street markets, walk along the Barceloneta coast - or maybe even consider a day trip to Girona or Montserrat if you fancy getting out of the big city!
Day 27 : On To The 'City Of Lights'
Location: Paris
Accommodation: Hostel
Wave goodbye to Barcelona, as you travel to your eleventh and final destination; Paris! This city is one of the most famous in the world for a reason, the food, art, culture and nightlife are like no other.
Day 28 : The Final Day Of The Tour
Location: Paris
Accommodation: Hostel
Your last included activity is a group trip up the Montparnasse Tower, where you can enjoy 360 views of the city, and a drink on the terrace. Spend the rest of the day however you like, you could visit the world famous Louvre, or the stunning Arc de Triumph. End your day watching the glistening light show on the Eiffel Tower before saying au revoir to your fellow travellers and the trip of a lifetime.
Day 29 : A Full Circle!
Location: London
Head back to London St Pancras with the group - a full 360, where your trip will come to an end. The exact time of return will be confirmed to you prior to your group tour, so you're able to book your onward travel.

Trains throughout with the exception of one journey by coach. Trains are the best way to travel Europe as they are comfortable, scenic, fast, and take you from city centre to city centre. You don't need to check-in early and there is no baggage limit!

You will be staying in some of the best boutique hostels in Europe, in dormitories sharing with other travellers. Hostels have great facilities and are sociable places to meet other travellers.

Are all the relevant entry visa’s included in the price of the tour?
No - we can however provide visa support letters for £6 per hostel.

What is the fitness level required to do this tour?
They'll be plenty of walking but nothing too exerting!

Can I join the tour once it has departed?
Sadly not. We require at least 30 days' notice before you can join any tour, so we have enough time to arrange everything and make sure your trip runs smoothly.

What documents will I receive before I travel?
We'll be in touch around 4 weeks before your trip, with a request for you to complete a couple of forms for us. From there, we'll provide your PDF travel pack and information about your meeting point, before you will be put in contact with your dedicated tour leader around a week before your departure date.

What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Your trip becomes non-refundable and non-amendable within 90 days of your trip starting. If you need to change before that, please get in touch and we'll see what we can do to help. Your deposit remains non-refundable in such an event.

Who will be my travelling companions on the tour?
On our Backpacking Group Tours everyone on the tour will be aged between 18 - 35, plus one of our experienced and fun tour leaders! On our Premium Group Tours, everyone will be aged 18+ and the average age is 50+. You’ll be traveling in a small group of up to 20 people and your tour leader.
