This morning, meet your Expat Explore tour leader and other travellers for the start of the tour. Then, it’s time to leave the churches and basilicas of Rome behind and head to the canals of Venice! On arrival, embark on an orientation walking tour with your tour leader. See top sights including the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square. Then, witness a glass blowing demonstration. This is an incredible example of traditional Venetian craftsmanship! Afterwards, there is an option to explore Venice the traditional way - from the canals on a gondola ride or water taxi, which gives you a completely different perspective and appreciation for the amazing structure of this unique destination!.

Embark on an orientation walk of the city and enjoy some free time to explore. Try some of the local German food, such as Bratwurst, and have a wander around the beautifully paved streets. Then, head to Berlin, the capital of Germany. Arrive and head out on a driving tour. Our tours are not suitable for young children, so we set a minimum age limit of 10 years old.     We do walking tours through most of the cities we visit. Many of the cities you visit are vast and old, often with steps and cobblestones. Our walking tours can last up to 3 hours with plenty of opportunities to take photographs and soak up the history of these fascinating places, but you do require a certain level of fitness to enjoy your tour to its fullest.

    What currencies are required for this tour?

    Please make sure you bring with you for the start of the tour the local currency(ies) you will need for at least the first three days, as there may not be an opportunity to change currency at the very beginning of the tour. You should budget for any optional excursions you wish to do in this period and non-included meals.

Laura our tour leader was fantastic, knowlegeable and a strong leader.

Our driver Keith was probably the best driver I've ever encountered as he kept us safe and got us out of parking 'jams' throughout the trip and even at road patrols and boarder crossing both he and Laura were incredibly organize which ensured we weren't held up unnecessarily.

Expat planned out the entire trip so methodically it was well-received.

It would have been nicer if we had more time at some countries but since the schedule was so packed that was par for the course.

I can't wait to join in on another Expat tour in the near future! less....

This tour with Stacey (tour guide) & Wayne (driver) was the best tour I have ever done.

I have done 2 tours previously with other tour providers , and this tour was by far superior than them on all aspects.

It was very well organised, daily and next day instructions were given clearly with all rele ant phone numbers etc on a day sheet which we could get a photo of on our phones, the optional activities were excellent and there were lots of opportunities to mingle with the rest of the tour group - e.

: there was a facebook closed group created by Stacey which enabled us to interact daily and for me, as I joined in the middle of the 22 day tour, I was introduced on it before I joined & knew who my tour group was even before i joined.

There were lots of unique activities that were not seen on other tours - like a daily diary where we could pen down our memories to be read out the next day, social activist like celebrating b'day, engagements, wedding anniversaries, which all made us close knit like one family.

As I was the last to join on day 11, and was traveling solo for the first time ever, I was slightly apprehensive re; how quicky I would be absorbed into the group - but with Stacey & Wayne being so friendly & introducing me to everyone , and with the absolute warmth & friendliness of the group, it took only an hour , if at all for me to feel totally at ease.

Waynes's driving was excellent, we felt totally safe & comfortable & he was an essential part of our social activities & fun at all times too.

He was always ever so helpful, esp with our luggage.

Stacey's organising was excellent, she was fun but also made sure we were all disciplined & kept to times with her critical timings :-) She went out of her way to help - for me it was when my flight from London to Venice was delayed by 4 hours & I missed the gondola tour, when I left some clothes behind in the hotel in Pargue she sorted all that out and she organised cabs at drop off at very good rates.

"Visit the Giraffe centre to hand feed giraffes, watch baby elephants during feeding time at David Sheldrick, feed wild monkeys in the park, eat at Nairobi street kitchen and party at K1 Clubhouse. "

"If you're not on a tour, it's important to book places like David Sheldrick in advance as they are a true sanctuary and only open to the public for 1hr each day to limited numbers. It can book up weeks in advance."

What can I do at night?

"Nairobi has a lot of restaurants and bars. My favourite is K1 Clubhouse with regular DJs, life music, an outdoor beer garden and club vibes! Great drinks, food and atmosphere!"
