Hill station farm house stay

It was a very large farm in the lap of Western ghats near goodalur. The main attraction was the pomegranate trees. Expertise Team was very helpfull in explaining the workings of the farm , arranging a bullock cart ride, and providing a tractor ride. There were lots of farm animals, which the children enjoyed a lot.

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay at the farm. They were extremely accommodating of our kids and showed them all the aspects of the farm. They arranged a taxi one day for an outing and then another taxi for our onward journey. The food was tasty - simple and abundant portions! The surrounding valley is very beautiful and a short (but windy) ride into Thekkady. I'm glad we decided to stay here rather than in town.

The trip was great, with very good comfort. We had so much fun cycling around the farm and enjoying the weather and nature. The people at the resort were so hospitable. The farm was full of different types of plants, which were also labeled. This makes the place a learning experience. It is a must-visit place for family and friends. iam planning to visit the place again

The place looks scenic and beautiful. Three well-designed cottages are available with elegant washrooms. The property spreads over 35 acres of land, of 14 acres grow pomegranates. Other fruits include guava, red lady papaya and passion fruit. There’s a herbal garden, a few birds and 12 cows in the property. Breakfast is complementary and wad very tasty. There’s no buffet with a variety of items, but what is available is served in large portions. Freshly cut fruits and freshly squeezed juice (produce from the farm) add to it. I didn’t try lunch from there as I went out to Cumbam and Thekkady on the days I stayed there. The dinner was equally good and tasty. One must give the food order in advance for them to prepare it on time. The two watch towers in the property are really good to get a bird’s eye view of the area. There’s a check dam and an artificial waterfall near one side of the property. The ~3km approach road to the property is in deplorable condition and is a pain. That is perhaps the only downside, but it has nothing to do with the farm or the stay as the road belongs to the forest department (as told to me by the farm staff).

Farm is maintained neatly, you can learn about organic pomo cultivation this farm is not commercial one so you can enjoy the nature peacefully ideal for group gatherings / family. Must Try : Morning walk outside farm Tractor / Bullock Cart ride and Bonfire Pomo Juice and Fresh Tender Coconut water Rooms : Small Rooms but neatly maintained and clean toilets,we visited post Christmas so evening lights around lobby, lawn is excellent. Dining: Breakfast is complementary( Puttu and Kadala curry is yummy) you may not get varieties but food is simple and tasty. Overall stay was good and new experience....
