This 5-day, mid-range itinerary takes you on a journey through Tanzania’s unrivaled wildlife destinations. Begin your adventure by exploring Tarangire mobs of elephants and the dotted baobab landscape, before moving on to encounter the spectacle of the Ngorongoro Crater floor, home to Africa’s Big 5. The sweeping plains of the Serengeti provide a backdrop for the tour’s grand finale, and game viewing is superb all year round with one of the best big cats sighting in all of Africa.

Day 1 : Arusha –Tarangire National Park

You leave Arusha after breakfast with a picnic lunch packed safely away. The Rift Valley landscape drifts past as your guide heads for Tarangire National Park, the least visited reserve on the itinerary but one capable of delivering fantastic game viewing. Home to Tanzania’s biggest elephant population, Tarangire supports large numbers of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and many antelope species, most evident during the dry season when concentrations of animals at the life-giving Tarangire River are at their peak. You stop at a picnic site and enjoy your lunch with breath-taking views of the park’s landscape and the river below you, and maybe in the company of elephants drinking and digging water from the sand River banks, after lunch proceeds with game viewing and in the late afternoon leave the park and, drive to your lodge Nsya for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 : Nsya Lodge --Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)

Have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge and depart to Serengeti with a nice packed picnic lunch to go with, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed as one of the seven wonders of Africa, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and hundreds of eland, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant’s gazelle. Within the two days, we are going to explore the plains, water holes, kopjes, and Rivers for the spectacular big cat sighting, the eastern plains of Namiri plains, and the Gol-kopjes offering excellent cheetah and lion sightings. Our camp Serengeti Heritage tented camp is at the heart of it all, set on a high elevation offering an excellent view of the plains from your doorstep.

Day 4 : Serengeti National Park To Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast you will head out for an en-route game drive through the Serengeti. You might be able to spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – before embarking on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves offering you an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Arriving at the edge of the crater you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day – glistening streams, open grassland and an infinite number of animals. You will spend the night at a lodge near the Crater Rim.
Day 5 : Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Leave the Rhino lodge very early in the morning, and descend, 610 meters down to the grasslands of the crater floor, an area of about 265 square kilometers. Despite its small size, the Crater is a Big 5 country and the openness of the terrain means easy and rewarding game viewing. You will spend the day exploring the crater floor, stopping to picnic on the grasslands amidst the grazing herds. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption, the world’s largest intact and un-flooded caldera provides a year-round home to an astonishing 25,000 large mammals including the black rhinos. The Crater’s forests shelter elephants and buffalo, its wetlands are home to hippos and flamingos while lions, jackals, hyenas, and caracals make up the full range of predators. Late afternoon leave the crater behind and drive back to Arusha and you will be dropped at your accommodation or Kilimanjaro airport.

Do we need travel Insurance?

Can we book our International Flight with your Company?
Unfortunately, as a Tanzanian tour operator, we cannot assist you for your international flight. There are different airline companies flying to Kilimanjaro airport, Dar-es-Salaam, Zanzibar or Nairobi. Some companies offer the possibility to arrive at Kilimanjaro or Nairobi airport, and depart from Zanzibar or Dar-es-Salaam.

In Tanzania you will only find a self-drive car for short trips within town. It is not possible to rent a self-drive car outside of town. A car with driver can be rented though.
