Day 17: Singapore – New Delhi (By Flight) (B/-/-)

Today youll be transferred back to Singapore International Airport for your flight to India. On your arrival in New Delhi, youll be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. The capital of India is a bustling metropolis that beautifully blends the ancient with the modern. The city can broadly be divided into two parts: Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of Delhis Muslim rulers, notably the Mughals, between the 17th and 19th centuries. New Delhi, on the other hand, is referred to as the Imperial City, dating back to when the British decided to move their capital from Calcutta to Delhi in 1911.

Overnight in Delhi

Day 18: New Delhi (B/-/-)

Start your day with a visit to Old Delhi. Begin at Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, before reveling in an exhilarating rickshaw ride through the by-lanes of Chandni Chowk (Silver Street). Walk through the old dusty alleyways and other interesting sights! Drive past the mighty and sprawling Red Fort, which was built in 1648 and stands along the river Yamuna. Continue to New Delhi to see the colonial architecture that defined the British era in India. See the India Gate (the War Memorial) and the Presidents House (from the outside). Later visit a famous Sikh Temple, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. Sikhism is a progressive religion (and in many respects, ahead of its time). At Bangla Sahib, you will see how this religion blends practices from Hinduism and Islam into something new. You can watch (and join if you like) the langar, the voluntary group cooking and feeding program at the Gurudwara. Later travel to Qutab Minar complex - the tallest tower in the world for centuries, erected by first Islamic rulers of India and still the most imposing, artistically carved and engraved sandstone pillar anywhere!

Overnight in Delhi

Day 19: New Delhi – Agra – Delhi (By Train) (B/-/-)

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before heading towards the railway station to catch your train from Delhi to Agra. Taking a train in India is an experience you won't want to miss - the rail network is one of the largest in the world and offers an up-close view of the country's beauty. Once you arrive in Agra, you'll head straight to a guided tour of the city. Agra is a prime tourist destination in India because of its incredible historical sights, with the Taj Mahal being the most famous of them all. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 15th century as a memorial to his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is an architectural masterpiece of exquisite craftsmanship and perfect proportions. It's often considered the pinnacle of Mughal art in India, and when UNESCO declared it a world heritage site, they described it as \"the jewel of Muslim art in India\". You'll have the opportunity to visit the Taj Mahal and see for yourself the magnificence of this monument. Words can hardly do it justice - it's truly a must-see for any visitor to the city. Later, you'll be taken back to the Agra railway station to catch your train back to Delhi.

Overnight in Delhi

Day 20: New Delhi

Enjoy a full day discovering Delhi at your leisure or make the very most of your time in this fascinating city by booking one of the optional tours below. A late check-out at your hotel and a transfer to the airport at 3 am for your flight to Beijing is arranged.

Overnight onboard

Day 21: New Delhi – Bejing (By Flight) (B/-/-)

Early morning you will be transferred back to Delhi International Airport for your flight to China. Breakfast on board flight before arrival at Bejing Airport, upon arrival youll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city at your own pace.

Overnight in Beijing

Day 22: Bejing (B/L/-)

After breakfast at the hotel, youll meet your guide and drive to Tiananmen Square, the worlds largest public square. The UNESCO Site of the Forbidden City is the imperial place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties ruled for nearly 500 years (1420-1911). Experience the architectural splendor of the palaces, ceremonial courtyards and private quarters. The Summer Palace has the largest imperial garden in the world, where the emperors of successive dynasties created summer retreats around the tranquil waters of Kunming Lake.

Overnight in Beijing

Day 23: Bejing (B/L/-)

After breakfast at the hotel, youll visit the Great Wall of China, one of the worlds greatest engineering triumphs. The Great Wall undulates majestically over the peaks and hills of the Beijing municipality, inspiring everyone who sees it with awe. Today youll also see the famous ‘Birds Nest Olympic Stadium and the National Swimming Centre, which is also known as the ‘Water Cube.

Booked Mystical Egypt tour with them visiting Cairo and a 03 Nights Cruise from Luxor to Aswan in May. All services were perfect since the time we arrived at the airport, we were met by a hospitable Indus Representative who helped us with the purchase of local SIM and currency exchange. He was always there in time to assist for transfers. The Amwaj Cruise which we took from Luxor to Aswan was a Gem. We had great guides and all sightseeing worked like a clockwork. We enjoyed visiting Karnak Temples, Temples of Edfu, Kom Ombo and the boat ride to see Phillae Temple. Evening entertainment on cruise were great and engaging. In Cairo and Aswan, we had ample leisure time to explore on own, the Pyramids were impressive and visiting Khan e Khalili was fun. Overall and impressive and enjoyable tour, Thanks to Indus Travels!

Indus Travel runs a highly professional organization. From customer service to brochures, bookings, tour guides, etc. and the consideration for their customers is superb. This was the first time I had travelled with Indus Travels. We took the Taste of Portugal Tour. Group numbers are small, accommodation comfortable and food excellent. The expert guide who accompanied us was outstanding - passionate, informative, engaging, and entertaining. This company is obviously at the heart of the itinerary planning, and attention to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a fun, relaxed, educational vacation with fine food - they will deliver! We will never forget this trip and we are already planning for another one to Wonders of Italy, Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.

We were looking for a customized, small group tour. We took a chance on Indus without knowing much about the company. We just returned from our trip to Greece and are more than highly please and satisfied with our experience. They planned an amazing itinerary, booked amazing hotels, hired knowledgeable tour guides and arranged high quality transportation services. Everyone went above and beyond to please us. We are already planning a trip for next year (2024) and will definitely use Indus to do so.

07-Mar-2024

My wife and I along with three friends signed up the tour to Mexico from Indus Travel. The total 12-day Maya Culture trip really gave us opportunities to learn Mexico indigenous cultures thoroughly. We have seen a lot of ruins and pyramids, each of them has different representations and can tell the history of what was happening atthat time. We also had chances to visit the indigenous families toexperence the real Mexican people's life inthe rural area. The views of volcanoes, villages and canyons are also unforgettable. This is a small group with total 7 tourists, our driver/tour guide is a very experienced guide, he explained the history in sequence of events in and out. Most of all with 2500km driving he made us fell safe with his skills. All in all, this trip worths a 5+ star. I was so surprised that Indus Travel assigned a tour coordinator dedicated to our group, Kathlene helped a lot to make the arrangement for the whole trip and made us worry free.

13-Nov-2023

I booked a trip with Indus to South Africa and had a fabulous time! It was easy to book the trip online and any questions I had were answered very quickly by Sabine. The hotels we stayed at were very nice and in good locations. Our tours were well organized and our safari in Kruger National park was definitely a highlight. A few mornings had a bright and early start, but this allowed us to accomplish quite a lot in a day. The hotel restaurants had decent food, which was convenient if we had a longer day and didn't want to go out to eat. Overall, I was very happy with the trip and I felt the price for my tour was excellent value. I would definitely use Indus again!

04-Jan-2024

Exploring Bogota was fantastic - a lively city with so much to see. The Gold Museum was a highlight, taking us on a journey through centuries of history. We spent hours there, fascinated by the detailed exhibits showcasing the rich culture. After Bogota, we flew to St. Andres, a Caribbean paradise. Despite some rain during the 'rainy season,' the island's charm and our packed sightseeing schedule made every moment unforgettable. Activities like mangrove kayaking, snorkeling, and island hopping showcased St. Andres' natural beauty. WE even rescued a sick blue heron during our tour and transferred it to rescue services. The food was another standout. Local cuisine was not only delicious but also budget-friendly, offering a unique blend of flavors. I love seafood especially seviche, and I was trully impress by quality and diversity. But what really made our trip special was the people. Friendliness was everywhere, whether chatting with locals or getting tips on hidden gems. The genuine hospitality added an extra layer of joy to an already amazing journey. Bogota and St. Andres left a lasting impression, going beyond sightseeing to truly experience the heart and soul of these incredible destinations. Big thank you to Indus team, who put together this trip for me. I am looking forward to exploring other South American countries with Indus.

Glimpse of Egypt Quick paced tour taken after Egypt opened back up to tourists, particularly Americans. Went in November and weather was beautiful. Decent hotels and overnight Nile cruise. You will see a lot on this tour and be aware there are some early wake ups. Lots of walking but doable if you're in decent shape. Overall a fun tour with all the sites you have only seen in books!
