Java

Indonesia

Active Adventures

What do you love most about Java?

"Java is a true hidden gem where you can still experience the real Indonesia and its culture, without the mass tourism of Bali."

A 'MUST' whilst you're there?

"While Mt. Bromo is the most famous volcano to visit on Java, Ijen Crater is definitely my favourite! Start hiking at 2 am with a gas mask around your neck and wait for sunrise on top of the crater ring."

Does Java have white sand beaches?

"YES! I had the best time on the undiscovered island of Karimunjawa. It's an absolute must when visiting Java!"

What is your wildest memory of your time on Java?

"After watching the sunrise at Mt. Bromo, we were driving through the Black Sand Dessert and I was flying my drone while sitting on top of the Jeep with 2 of my friends. I will never forget that!"

@jasononcamera's Top Tips

"Talk to the locals (they are so friendly), try the street food (it's so good and so cheap) & last but not least: take your time to take it all in because you will get blown away by this beautiful island!"
