Tour Overview
With its unique Anglo-French cultural blend, the enchanting island of Jersey offers a taste of the Continent but closer to home. Historically attractive to invading armies because of its strategic position between England and France, Jersey has been fought over many times throughout history. Today, it is the island’s abundance of natural beauty and mild, sunny climate which makes it so appealing, from the rugged cliffs of the north down to the long, sandy beaches of the south. During our relaxing break we enjoy a wonderful tour of the island’s highlights and visit the storied war tunnels, built by the Germans when they occupied the island during the Second World War. With all of this and more packed into a mere 46 square miles, there is plenty to explore on the beautiful island of Jersey.

Explore The Historic Island of Jersey
La Mare Wine Estate with wine tasting (half day)
We enjoy a visit to La Mare Wine Estate, Jersey’s only working vineyard. Established in 1972, the estate is located in the north of the island and combines extensive vineyards with historic buildings and beautiful gardens. As well as committing to make lovely wine, the estate also produces Jersey Black Butter, chocolate and fudge. We enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and distillery before a tasting of approximately three wines, followed by a short talk on the chocolate production. We also have the chance to browse the lovely estate shop.
Island Highlights Tour (half day)
Our half day tour takes in Jersey’s spectacular coastline. Highlights include St Brelade’s Bay, one of the island’s most popular resort beaches, the rugged north coast overlooking the neighbouring Channel Islands and the famous Corbière lighthouse on the south-western corner of the island. We also visit St Ouen’s Bay with its miles of golden sand and rolling Atlantic waves – a veritable paradise for surfers, and picturesque Gorey harbour overlooked by Mont Orgueil Castle.
Other optional excursions and car hire can be booked through our resort representative. A local bus service offers access to the whole island, so a hire car is not essential.
