DAY 1: CUSCO – SORAYPAMPA – HUMANTAY LAKE First, you will have a 2-hour trip to Mollepata where you will have breakfast. Then you will trek to Soraypampa, to have a delicious lunch. Then, you will visit the wonderful Humantay Lagoon. DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – HUAYRAQMACHAY – CHAULLAY You will continue the walk until the pass between the mountains Salkantay and Humantay. You will reach Wayraqmachay for a delicious lunch. Then continue the walk to Chaullay. DAY 3: CHAULLAY – LA PLAYA – LUCMABAMBA You will begin the walk through the high jungle where you will observe a variety of flora and many types of orchids. You will arrive at Playa Sahuayaco for lunch. Then you will have a walk to Lucmabamba. DAY 4: LUCMABAMBA – LLAQTAPATA – HIDROELÉCTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES You will take the walk to Llactapata. Then you will arrive at Hidroeléctrica where you will have lunch. Continue the walk for 3 hours to Aguas Calientes. You will have dinner at a tourist restaurant. DAY 5: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO You will go by bus to MachuPicchu where you will have a guided tour of 2 hrs. You will return to Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch, Finally, you will return to Cusco.

Day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa – Humantay Lake

Location: Aguas Calientes

In the morning at 5 am approximately our tour leader will pick you up from your accommodation. We are driving 2 hours more and less to arrive at Mollepata town where is located The control to visit Humantay Lake and the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. You will have the chance to have breakfast, unless you already had in the hotel, and find the last shops to buy snacks, rain poncho, etc.
Following the trip by car, we continue driving 01 hours approximately until we arrive at Challacancha (3750 meters), the beginning of our Salkantay Trek. You will have the last chance to rent restrooms before we start the hike. we meet our chef and horseman who will hike beside us. A soon as you are ready, we start The Salkantay trek 05 days. In the first 30 minutes, we are ascending to get Canal Inca which was an Inca irrigation Sistem. After 3 hours of hiking, we arrive at lunch in Soraypampa (3900 meters), to clarify it will be our Campsite as well.
After lunch, we continue the second part of the Hike to arrive at the popular lake called Humantay. Because of the elevation, it will be a challenge to arrive at Humantay Lake however you will take your time. Most importantly is that you have to enjoy the landscapes. in the afternoon, once you arrive from Humantay Lake, Teatime and dinner will ready. At night you will enjoy Salkantay Mountain view.

Overnight at the Soraypampa camp

Day 2: Soraypampa – Huayraqmachay – Chaullay

Location: Aguas Calientes

Today is considered the longest and hardest day. Despite being difficult today, we will have beautiful views. you start The Salkantay Trek early in the morning after Coca tea and a delicious and nutritive breakfast. Firstly the path will ascend considerately for 03 to 04 hours until the pass (4650meters), where it will be possible to enjoy the closest view of Salkantay mountain. However, the next part of of trail until Camping will be downhill. In case you do not feel in good condition to make the uphill, you can rent a horse to get Salkantay pass
After two hours downhill, we Arrive at Huayraqmachay (3900 meters) the lunch spot. Salkantay Trek will continue for three hours downhill approximately until you arrive at Chaullay town (2850 meters). During this downhill will be possible to realize different microclimates, vegetation, and amazing views of the high Jungle. Finally, in the camping you will have the option to rent a shower in case you required it. You have dinner and rest for the next day.

Day 3: Chaullay – La Playa – Lucmabamba

Location: Aguas Calientes

Accommodation: Camp

In the morning you will have the coca tea and some extra time to start packing your day backpack and belongs in your duffle bag. After de delicious breakfast you will continue the hike but firstly you will say goodbye to the horseman who will cross Salkantay mountain again to back home. Once you are ready 16 km are waiting for you through the High jungle. Obviously it is no so hard because all the time will be short ups and downs. Through all the way it will be possible to enjoy nature such as orchids, parrots, native birds. Passion fruit and coffee plantations.
By the way, today will be 07 hours approximately hiking until Lunch and campsite. Here you will have a coffee demonstration. You will have the afternoon free. Optional if you want to visit the Natural Hot spring that needs an extra fee, our tour leader will give you more information. At night we have dinner and the temperature will be comfortable.

Overnight at the Lucmabamba camp

Day 4: Lucmabamba – Llaqtapata – Hidroeléctrica – Aguas Calientes

Location: Aguas Calientes

At 05 am you will have to wake up call with the last Coca tea. You need to pack your belongings and your day backpack. to continue Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu. After breakfast, we say goodbye to our chef, who will take transport to take our duffles until Aguas Calientes town. As soon as we are ready we start Salkantay trek following the original Inca Trail Until Llaqtapata. The first three will be uphill until This amazing Inca Site. However, elevation will be less high than the second day. Since Llaqtapata will be possible to enjoy the first view of Machu Picchu, according to the weather it can be possible to see Salkantay mountain as well.
Following the Salkantay Trek, we start descending for about two hours to arrive at Hidroelectrica where we have our Lunch. Finally, after lunch, we continue hiking through the train tracks for 12 km approximately to Arrive Aguas Calientes town. If you feel that the first part in the morning is enough you will have the chance to buy tickets fromHidroelectrica to Aguas Calientes ( USD 33 approx). Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes you will have a hot shower and clean bedsheets in the accommodation. At night it is included Dinner in a touristic restaurant. Salkantay Trek is not an easy trail for novices, but there are some options to skip the hardest parts.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Early in the morning after breakfast in the Hotel our tour leader, Who will be since the beginning of Salkantay trek, comes to take you to the bus station. Our tour leader will give you Machu Picchu Tickets, above all, you must take your passport, otherwise, you do not visit Machu Picchu. Once you pass Machu Picchu Checkpoint you will get the Sunrise and enjoy Machu Picchu Classic view. Following our Salkantay experience, our tour leader will start the tour inside of Machu Picchu. In other words, once you start the tour it will not be possible to back to the classic view, because it is one way and one entrance to Machu Picchu
After our tour leader finishes the tour he will say goodbye. and you will have the chance to enjoy by your self the last part of Machu Picchu. After you finish Machupicchu you will take the bus to Aguas Calientes. In this town, you will have the chance to get lunch (not included). The tour leader will recommend a good restaurant and also he will show you the location of the Train Station which is not far away.
At 16:22 will be your train to come until Ollantaytambo ( Important to be 30 minutes before departure). A Transport will pick you up from Ollantaytambo and drop you off at your hotel in Cusco.
