“The Everest Base Camp trek is an incredible way to spend 9-12 days experiencing the delights of the Himalaya mountain region, with the ultimate reward of reaching the base camp of the world's most notorious mountain climb.

I couldn't recommend Mount Adventure Holidays & Pasang who runs the company any more highly.

He took such great care of me as a solo traveler, answering all my questions very promptly before the trip, and organizing every last detail from the moment I touched down in Kathmandu, to when I left.

Nepal can be a slightly chaotic place to travel around, and for me, I had flights to and from Lukla canceled (due to a "broken plane"), however with Pasang around, he made all the necessary arrangements such that I still made it to do the trek in the time I had! He ensured I had all the necessary trekking gear, lending me a few bits I didn't have.

At the end of the trek, he gave me a quick tour of Kathmandu and even invited me into his home.

As a side point, Pasang uses guides based in Lukla or the surrounding region, so unlike other companies, the price of flying a guide from Kathmandu to Lukla isn't included in the price.

He is absolutely priceless, so if you are thinking of doing any trekking in Nepal, use him!”

They always had our health/welfare in mind.

I would recommend this trip to any intermediate to advance trekker.

The altitude is a serious element, and training at a gym with an altitude chamber was very helpful.

The views on this trek were SPECTACULAR.

Over 20 peaks rising above 20,000 feet can be seen during much of the trek.

Along the way, much of the Buddhist Nepalese culture is prevalent and rich.

The people are very kind, and this trip might just change (save) your life.

Overall, it was definitely a little quicker of a pace, but we were able to manage fairly well.

Getting up to Kala Patthar was a physical challenge but the views were absolutely incredible.

The trip back down was a little difficult because we were trying to fill in 40km in 2 days.

Would definitely recommend the trek in 11 days if you're constrained for time at all.

Never really felt overly taxed by the pace.

This trip was my second to Nepal in as many years and was equally as inspiring as the first despite being an entirely different sort of trek and experience.

Originally we had planned to only trek to Amadablam base camp and requested an itinerary that reflected that possibility.

The organizer at Mount Adventure Holidays created an itinerary that vastly exceeded my hopes.

I did not believe we had enough time to trek the EBC, but as it turned out, as everything went exceedingly well (likely due to the coordination well before our arrival), we were able to complete the trip one full day earlier than the itinerary called for and we enjoyed that time on our descent, spending an extra night along the route on the descent.

On all fronts, our expectations were exceeded at every level.

From accommodations and transportation (which were all more luxurious than our previous year's trip) to the selection of tea houses and exceptional freshness and quality of food options along the trail, this trip was a successive series of stunning experiences, vistas, insights, and opportunity.

Pasang Sherpa and Nima (our two guides on this trek) pulled out all the stops to ensure we had the best experience possible, and on several occasions, it was made abundantly clear to us that Pasang and Nima's presence made ALL the difference to our successful bid to both enjoy this trek and find success.

Not only would I recommend Mount Adventure Holidays for any regional guiding needs in Nepal and the surrounding areas, I would NOT recommend anyone else.

I will be returning to Nepal in October 2019, with Pasang Sherpa and Mount Adventure Holidays to attempt the Mera Peak expedition.

Short version: Pasang exceeded expectations in every area.

We had a blast.

I still cannot believe I have hiked to EBC! Long version: From the moment we landed, things were happening for us like the red carpet.

Local accommodations, meals, transportation were all arranged and very nice.

When we started trekking I felt safe, well-fed, and all I needed to do was look at the scenery and put my training to the test hiking.

I also learned a ton about local geography, culture, mountaineering, and so much more from Pasang, whose English language skills far exceeded my expectations.

When you are trekking in the high Himalaya, you should not expect to stay at the Ritz.

It is no secret that accommodations match the conditions.

But I was pleasantly surprised almost every time with the level of comfort available.

The meals were always enough, always tasty, and occasionally amazing.

The itinerary was well planned, but if you have never trekked in this area please note that the weather and local conditions will often dictate how things go.

Pasang was at his best when those things occurred.

When variables started to pile up, Pasang's leadership, flexibility, and calm confidence was on display as we adjusted on the fly to account for these variabilities.

Pasang has a huge amount of local experience, a great personality, solid English skills, and I would go anywhere with him.
