Just completed a 14 day Annapurna Base Camp trek with Nepal Hiking Team and thoroughly recommend them. The service we had from booking through to trip itself was excellent. Our guides Puru and Basu were brilliant… they took such good care of us throughout, alongside our porters Pradeep and Ganesh who were also fab. We loved it!!

Annapurna Base Camp--Made amazing by Nepal Hiking Team

13-Sep-2024

This is the first time I’ve ever written a review online, and it's because of my 100% positive experience that I feel compelled to write this glowing review of Ganga, my guide Ram, my porter Pim, and the entire Nepal Hiking Team. I was very nervous about this trek and had a lot of logistics to sort out. I had countless questions and had to change my itinerary more than once. Throughout this entire process, Ganga was patient, professional, and kind, always responding promptly. When my trekking partner had to drop out a week before the trip, I ended up going solo but quickly became friends with the NHT team and enjoyed the wonderful company of Ram and Pim. I had been warned that in Nepal, things often don't go as planned, but that wasn’t the case with NHT. From the moment I got off the plane, Ganga greeted me with a warm smile and hearty welcome. He handled all the transportation, hotels, and permits, ensuring everything went smoothly without any delays. At the end of the trek, he made a special presentation with a certificate, a Nepali ascot featuring the NHT logo, and truly made me feel like I had accomplished something incredible. I never felt like just another trekker in a line—his kindness and attention to detail made this the trip of a lifetime. As for the trek itself, my guide Ram was fantastic. He quickly adjusted to my pace, which we maintained throughout the trek. He was patient with my frequent photo stops and gave me plenty of options for where to stay each night. He even carried my guitar for me! Ram’s English was excellent, and I enjoyed our conversations along the trail. At each teahouse, it was clear that lodge owners respected him and NHT, and we received first-class treatment. I have dietary restrictions, and Ram made sure my needs were met at every meal. He even indulged my request to climb from MBC to ABC two days in a row because the weather improved, making for better photos! Likewise, our porter Pim was patient and good-humored, even though I had definitely overpacked. He hauled my large duffel bag without a single complaint. At the teahouses, I met other trekkers who shared stories of bad experiences with their guides and trekking companies (not NHT), but I had nothing but positive things to say about Ram and NHT. I felt so fortunate to have chosen them. In conclusion, this was truly the trip of a lifetime, largely because I chose Nepal Hiking Team. I give them a 100 out of 100 and plan to use them again when I return to do the Everest Base Camp trek with my family (and I’d love to have Ram and Pim again). Ganga is a true gentleman and a fantastic trekking organizer. Thank you, NHT, for everything!

First Nepal Trek - Annapurna Base Camp

13-Sep-2024

Me and my wife recently completed our first Nepal trek(ABC) with the Nepal hiking team and I would strongly recommend them. The owner Mr Ganga Ji is an extremely warm, jolly, and helpful person. Before finalizing my trip with them, I had literally asked tons of questions, and each of them was answered with utmost patience and diligence by Ganga Ji. Ganga Ji and the team took extreme care of us and we actually had to think about nothing during our entire Kathmandu to Kathmandu round trip. The hotels given to us by them in KTM and Pokhara were top notch as well. I would strongly recommend NHT for your first and/or next Himalayan adventure

A Fun and Memorable Family Annapurna Base Camp Trek

13-Sep-2024

In April 2023, we did a family and friends trek of 11 people to Annapurna Base Camp, and Ganga and his team did a fantastic job. They arranged knowledgeable, caring, and helpful guides and porters who managed all our requests and changes effortlessly. Whether it was supporting slower team members in the rain (literally) or the sunshine, they took care of everything. They even arranged a helicopter back to base for one member of our group. No matter the situation, all our needs were met—no excuses. The team was efficient, super friendly, attentive, and caring, all while offering a very reasonable price. Nepal Hiking Team made our trek a truly fun and memorable experience.
