Tour Overview

The Annapurna circuit trek is an unforgettable journey of discovery that will take you through some of the most geographically and culturally diverse areas in Nepal. The trek begins from Nagdi and you will make your way through picturesque villages such as Chamje and Chame. These are small well-known villages that act as a checkpoint for people who come to trek the Annapurna region. The path is full of breathtaking views of the Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. The towering peak of Annapurna I, II, III, and IV, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare mountains stand tall and proud. One of the greatest highlights (if not the greatest highlight) of this trek is crossing the Thorong La Pass, the highest navigable mountain pass in the world. Located at an altitude of 5,416 meters above sea level, things can get dangerous around here. But you will be on the hands of expert guides to assist you. The sense of achievement you’ll feel as you complete the checkpoints is what makes this trek great. You discover your resilience and strength as you discover the treasures of the Himalayas. The views you will get to see from the top will surely be awe-inspiring. Descending back, a completely new trail awaits you. You will get a chance to walk through the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world and home to a stunning array of wildlife and vegetation. The cultural value of this trek is also immense. You will learn a lot about the culture, history and lifestyle of mountain communities, as well as visit temples and monasteries like the Muktinath temple, a holy site for both Buddhists and Hindus.

The day has come when you cross the highest navigable mountain pass in the world. The Thorong La Pass offers some of the harshest conditions with continuous wind blows and high altitudes. Reaching Thorong La Pass, itself is a hard task, with 6 hours of steep climbing, you finally get to witness its magic. The scenic views of the close peaks feel as if a step forward you’ll be able to feel those peaks. We can’t afford to spend much time here, as the winds get stronger hour by hour, as even though we spend hours there just enjoying the view, it won’t be enough. Such is the greatness of this pass.

Excellent Service

13-Nov-2023

Excellent service from start to finish during the Annapurna circuit trek 15 Days. My guide Sonam was friendly, professional and his knowledge of the area was 2nd to none. Also making each day fun and enjoyable even on the longer tougher days. With 10 years of trekking and guiding experience he put me at ease straight away with the challenges ahead (Throng La pass) and was flexible with the itinerary which improved the overall experience. Also taking the trekking trails at every opportunity as opposed to the road way. The acclimatization to altitude was perfect and would highly recommend his service for novice and experienced trekkers alike. The accommodation and food choices were all excellent. Will definitely request to trek with Shiva and Nepal Lion Tours and Treks company next time I'm trekking in Nepal 10/10. Thank you

Great View and Great Company

22-Oct-2023

My friends and I did ACT as part of our first trekking trip to Nepal and it was one of the most memorable and inspiring trip ever. We want to express our gratitude to Binod, our guide, who took great care of us throughout the trip. Beyond his friendliness and kindness, he was easy to communicate with - always willing to share his knowledge and extend his help to us at every aspect. His years of experienced really showed and is able to adapt and adjust the itinerary accordingly to cater to our needs. Kudos to him and our two porters Rajendra and Bhuwan for making this trip so fun and bearable! We will certainly engage Nepal Lion and team for their exceptional services again.

Highly Recommend Annapurna Circuit

10-Oct-2023

We did ACT and had Binod as our guide. He is very understanding and an experienced guide. He did not rush us and estimated our trekking time based on our speed accurately. Given his experience, he was able to plan and adjust the trip accordingly. He ensured that all of us are comfortable at every step and tea houses we were at. He has good recommendations for food too. Highly recommend Binod! Our porters, Rajendra and Krishna were amazing too! All of them took an extra step to help plan for everything. Thanks for making this trip memorable and enjoyable!
