Tour highlights Rhino trekking Game drive Cultural tour Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kidepo Valley national park You will be welcomed by representatives from Prime Tours Uganda. Transfer to Kidepo National Park. Make a stopover in Nakasongola district and visit the home for endangered white rhinos which is Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking. Continue northwards to Karuma falls where you will sight troops of baboons by the road. The spectacular view of the Karuma falls presents beautiful scenery worth taking photos. Proceed to Kitgum town where you shall have late lunch at Boma Hotel. Head to Kidepo Valley National Park in Kaabong district. You surely are exhausted by the long Journey – check in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight Apoka Safari Lodge/Kidepo Savannah Lodge/Apoka Rest Camp Day 2: Game drive and Cultural tour Have an early morning breakfast at 7:00am. Go for a morning game drive through the rugged savannah dominated by mount Morungole and transacted by the Kidepo and Narus rivers. Expect to see various wildlife dotted in the plains that include Buffalos, Elephants, Lions, Leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, hartebeest, ostriches, giraffes, zebras to name but a few-this is the only park where zebras and giraffes are found together in Uganda. Packed lunch will be had in the bush. In the early evening, drive to Mount Morungule and have a cultural tour of the IK people who live on the slopes of the mountain, this is the smallest ethnic group in Uganda with a unique culture. Retire in the evening and turn back at the lodge. Dinner and overnight Day 3: Depart to Kampala have your morning breakfast and after check out of the lodge. Embark on the journey back to Kampala with a lunch stop in Gulu town at Serenity café/The Lookout café/Sam’s restaurant. Proceed to Kampala, you will be dropped at the location of your choice or Entebbe Airport for the evening flight. END OF TRIP NO.
