Tour Overview

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe. Upon the arrival at Entebbe International airport, you are welcomed by the company representative with the driver who drives you to the your already booked hotel in Kampala, this is about 45km . Arrive at the hotel for relaxation, dinner which is served at around 8:00pm and the overnight stay Speke hotel Kampala/Rochester hotel/Avesta hotel. Day 2: Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park. After your early morning breakfast, embark on 12 hour journey to Kidepo National Park which is approximately 571km from Kampala. A stopover in Nakasongola district to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary-home to endangered white rhinos. Continue northwards to Karuma falls where you will sight troops of baboons by the road. The spectacular view of the Karuma falls presents a beautiful scenery worth taking photos. Proceed to Kitgum town where you shall have late lunch at Inland restaurant, head to Kidepo Valley National Park in Kaabong district. You surely are exhausted by the long Journey – check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay Apoka Safari Lodge Day 3: Game drive and Nature walk Enjoy the morning breakfast at around 7:00am, then head for the visit to Narus valley for a game drive, the Narus valley possesses the largest buffalo herds in the entire world. The park has great observation points with binoculars, enjoy the high concentration of wildlife species like lions, waterbucks, warthogs, giraffes, bush pigs, elephants, pottos, hyenas, white tailed mangoose, bush babies among others. Turn back at the lodge for lunch at around and relax a bit. In the afternoon, start the nature walk exploring the vegetation scenery, cool breeze while on foot with a game ranger. The nature is done in different destinations such as Lomeji mountains, Mount Morungule, Namamukweny valley among others. In these, get a clear view of different animals like monkeys, elephants, baboons, reedbucks in the open savannah. Dinner and overnight stay Apoka Safari Lodge/Nga Moru Wilderness Camp/Apoka Rest Camp. Day 4: Hot springs and Bird watching. Have morning breakfast, start the journey and drive to Kidepo valley close to South Sudan border to visit the Kanangorok hot springs where there are different bird spicies especially ostriches with in the region. Turn back at the lodge for lunch and relax. In the afternoon, proceed in the park for birding. The National park is a home of over 470 bird species and out of this, about 60 species are only endemic to Kidepo valley national park such as Karamoja Apalis, Ostrich, Fox kestrel, Pygmy falcon, Black breasted barbet, Kori bustard and many more. Retire in the evening at lodge. Dinner and overnight stay Apoka Safari Lodge/Nga Moru Wilderness Camp/Apoka Rest Camp. Day 5: Depart to Kampala. After an early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and then drive back to Kampala with a lunch stopover in Nakasongola town at WamRelax restaurant/Tesus restaurant. Proceed to Kampala and you will be dropped at the location of your choice or Entebbe Airport for your flight
