Day 1 : Tarifa To Tangier

Morocco. As a foot passenger, you will cross the Strait of Gibraltar with your pre-booked ferry ticket, to reach your first destination in Morocco; Tangier. Your private designated driver/tour guide will be awaiting your arrival from the port station. Depending on your arrival time, a chance to for lunch and a visit to Cap Spartel and Hercules Cave.

Day 2 : Guided Tour Of The Old Medina Of Tangier And Visit To Lixus, Larache

After breakfast, a guided tour of the old Medina of Tangier. A home for local artists and former literacy writers, Mohammed Choukri and his friends (Paul Bowles, Jean Genet and Tennessee Williams). The old walls of the Medina provide great views of the Strait of Gibraltar; spotting your starting point of Tarifa across the waters. There are two main museums to visit; Kasbah & The American Legation Museum. Both providing an insight into Tangier history and culture. Not to forget a walk to Ibn Battuta monument in the heart of the Medina; the great North African traveller and scholar in the 14th century.

Petit Socco, the 'little square' is an ideal spot for a restful break. An area of the old Medina lined with cafes that are built on the area; originally the forum of Roman Tingus. Also, Petit Socco was the home to Mohammed Choukri, the writer who shared his early life in his autobiography of: For Bread Alone. In 19th century Tangier, this was the main market for traders and to date, its marked with souks reflecting local life.

A 45 minutes’ drive south along the coastal road, takes you to Asilah. An organised lunch in this small fortified town. This fortified town offers an insight in street art and Mural paintings as you walk freely throughout the old Medina of the town.

Travelling south to the ancient city of Lixus, lying on the bank of Loukkos river. A guided tour of Lixus. One of the main ruling centres of Juba II, the Berber prince, ruler of the ancient civilisation of Mauretania, North Africa. The Canaanites, the first settlers controlled by the Carthage empire. Day 3 : Larache- El-Ksar El-Kabir -Derdara - Tétouan - Chefchaouen

Travelling from Larache by Ezzouada, Elksar El-kebir and and Derdara exploration on the provinces of the Rif Mountains. The scenic route takes to Tetouan, nicknamed as 'white Dove'. The first settlers in the city were the Mauretanian Berbers dating back to 3rd Century BC. A trading place for the Phoenicians and the rise of the Roman empire it later developed as Tamuda, a Roman colony under the leadership of Emperor Augustus. The introduction of a mosque and Kasbah was done under Berber Marinids dynasty. As a town, its developed as a haven for the persecuted Muslims and Jews from Andalusia, Spain during the fall of Granada and Spanish Reconquista of 1492. Due to these historical records, to date it is referred as 'Granada daughter' and 'little Jerusalem'. A visit to Tetouan gives you to an opportunity to visit Old medina of Tetouan (UNESCO heritage site since 1997), Royal Artisan school, Place Hassan II, Archaeology museum and Tannery. Also, the city was awarded the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for its crafts and folk arts. A great place for a spot of lunch after your exploration of Tetouan.

Travelling further to the city gate of the 'blue city' of Morocco. From the viewpoint, you can visualise the hilltop town of Chefchaouen. A mixture of blue and white building from a distance. As you enter the town, you witness the blue alleyways and homes that are prominent in the main Medina of the town. Why the blue? Fighting the mosquitos, differentiating the existing of the Jewish houses - signifying the sea and heavens or I just work up one morning and painted the town blue? Regardless of its blue, Chefchaouen offers an authentic local experience despite its growing popularity over the years. The main town square is lined with a variety of places of eat, the main mosque and Kasbah, with its Andalusian style garden. Exploring the blue alleyways, a walk to Ras El Maa Waterfall and small hike to the Spanish mosque is highly recommended.

Day 4 : Chefchaouen To Fes

Morning free time to explore Chefchaouen further before your departure from the blue. Travelling south to one of the Imperial cities of Morocco; Meknes. An organised Caleche ride around the city is a great way to see Meknes. The glorified Bab Mansour gate is a must and a walkabout the local souks to experience local life. As a city it flourished under the reign of Moulay Ismail (1672–1727) with is vision of developing a capital that reflected Moorish -Spanish architecture and style; high walls and beautiful gates.

Day 5 : Guided Tour Of Fes, The Cultural Capital Of Morocco

Day 6 : Fes To Merzouga Desert, Morocco

Today will leave the north of Morocco and on the road to the south east . Destination, the Sahara Desert of Morocco. The travel distance from Fes to the gateway of the desert is approximately 478 kilometres. Breaking up the journey allows you to enjoy the Middle Atlas landscape. Ifrane referred to as 'little Switzerland' and Azrou, the home of Barbary macaque offers great breaks for road trip. The evolving landscape displays the Cedar Forest and lakes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Midelt is a great place for lunch enjoying the freshwater fish served in the province. Pass Midelt and Ziz valley, the landscape evolves as you pass the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani, on route to the sand dunes of Merzouga. A camel trek or 4x4 drive to the interior of the sand dunes until you reach your private desert camp. Here, you are welcomed by your hosts with mint tea. Day 7 : Merzouga Desert To Boulmane Dades Gorges

After the glorious sunrise and breakfast in your desert camp, a camel trek back across the sand dunes to meet your driver. A great opportunity to visit of the local villages of Merzouga province to explore local life. Driving west, towards Tinejdad to visit Musee Lalla Mimouna, an open-air museum displaying the history and culture of the local region. An educational project set up by a local artist – Zaid Abbou. Tinerhir provides a great opportunity to see one of the oldest Berber villages set in the oasis as you follow the road of the 1000 Kasbahs. At the end of day, you reach Boumalne Dades to relax at your Riad with dinner. An opportunity to have a cooking class to make your traditional Moroccan cuisine.

Day 8 : Dades Gorge - Kalaat Megouna - Skoura

After breakfast, a two-hour trekking with a local guide in the local area of Boumalne Dades to see the peculiar structures of the 'monkey fingers'. Following this, a drive to Skoura for your guided tour of Kasbah Amridil. An insight in the importance of these 'castle-like' structures in the trans Saharan trade route from Mali to Morocco to Europe. Further information is shared about how communities and travellers used Kasbahs as their daily life. Amridil has amazing views from the top floor of the local region and Oasis. Historically, it was the only Kasbah in the whole of Morocco that stated its importance and printed on the old 50 Dirham currency.

Day 9 : Road To Marrakech

Ouarzazate is the film capital of Morocco. A morning excursion to the Atlas studios provides time out to explore the various fil set in the museum. It gained its importance as a popular filming location for Hollywood especially when you travel to the Ksar of Ait Benhaddou; an UNESCO heritage site which allows travellers to explore the development of the village and local life.

Taking an alternative route via the Ounila valley allows you to enjoy the breath-taking views of the rivers, mountains and villages of this region. A visit to an abandoned salt mine gives a glimpse of how salt was mined in the area as important community during the trading routes. The final part of the journey before reaching Marrakech is elevating to 2,260m Tizi n Tichka mountain path (High Atlas Mountains). Today is the touring Marrakech. You will start with a visit to the old town called medina, with a knowledgeable guide. The medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating to the Berber Empire, with mazelike alleys where thriving souks (marketplaces) sell traditional textiles, pottery and jewelry. A symbol of the city, and visible for miles, is the Moorish minaret of 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque. Day 11 : Marrakech - Rabat - Casablanca

Today you will leave Marrakech heading to Rabat Rabat is the capital city of Morocco and the country's seventh largest city, Founded by Almohads‎: ‎1146 Gregorian then ruled by the mouahidine, In 1912 it became the main residence of the French Resident General. It remained the country's capital after independence in 1956, and at present the city is the seat of the royal family, and because of this wonderful mix of history, parts of Rabat are listed as a World Heritage Site.
The visit of the Cety includes Hassan Tower, It is is the minaret of an incomplete mosque, Commissioned by Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, the third Caliph of the Almohad Caliphate in 1195, the tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world along with the mosque, Construction on the mosque stopped when al-Mansur died in 1199.
The Mausoleum of Mohammed V, is a mausoleum located on the opposite side of the Hassan Tower, on the Yacoub al-Mansour esplanade in Rabat. It contains the tombs of the Moroccan king Mohammed V and his two sons, late King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah. The building is considered a masterpiece of modern Alaouite dynasty architecture, with its white silhouette, topped by a typical green tiled roof, green being the colour of Islam. A reader of the Quran is often present, having his assigned seat. Its construction was completed in 1971. Hassan II was buried there following his death in 1999.
Lunch in Rabat then continue to Casablanca viting Hassane two mosque, this opulent mosque, built at enormous expense, is set on an outcrop jutting over the ocean with a 210m-tall minaret that's a city landmark. It's a showcase of the finest Moroccan artisanship: hand-carved stone and wood, intricate marble flooring and inlay, gilded cedar ceilings and exquisite zellige (geometric mosaic tilework) abound. It's one of two Moroccan mosques open to non-Muslims; multilanguage guided tours are conducted outside prayer times for modestly clad visitors. There’s also a small museum showcasing the craftwork involved.
This perpetually busy square is surrounded by striking public buildings, such as the Wilaya and its clock tower and the Courts of Justice, resplendent with Moorish details, on one side, and the ubercontemporary Grand Théâtre de Casablanca on the other. The fountain is such a popular meeting spot that, when it had to be demolished to make way for the theatre, it was rebuilt on the other side of the square..,
