Return to the hotel in the city of Ushuaia.

Day 6 : Beagle Channel Navigation & End Of The Adventure
Location: Ushuaia
Meals Included: Breakfast

During the morning, we will enjoy a relaxing catamaran sailing through the historic and challenging Beagle Channel, the cradle of countless historic shipwrecks in these icy waters south of the Strait of Magellan. One of the objectives will be to obtain the typical postcard with the lighthouse behind us.

We set sail from the tourist pier along the wide Ushuaia Bay, observing from another perspective the profile of the city of Ushuaia and the geographical distribution at the foot of the Andes Mountains; until reaching the Beagle Channel through the Paso Chico.

There we sail around the Island of the Birds where we appreciate the Fuegian birds such as Skúas, Black-browed Albatross, Steam Ducks, Cauquenes, Cook Gulls and Gray Gulls. We go on around the sea lions’ island where we can see specimens of sea lions with one and two hairs. Both islands belong to the Bridges archipelago.

Upon arriving at the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (The Illuminators or also the colloquially misnamed the Lighthouse of the End of the World), we will be able to appreciate the colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Rocky Cormorants (similar in appearance to the penguins but of different species); and also listen to the sinking history of the SS Monte Cervantes that happened in 1930.

At the end of the journey, you can be amazed by the view of the mountain range that surrounds the city of Ushuaia and the sumptuous nature that surrounds it. It is a tour of great historical and landscape value that we do, visiting privileged and interesting points throughout the trip, which you can discover by navigating the waters of the Beagle Channel. In a pleasant and quiet journey.

During the afternoon transfer to the airport for your return flight.

Constance was very easy to work with. She customized the itinerary to our liking, and made flexible arrangements to suit our needs. She was always around for questions or concerns we had. Will definitely use her and Qwerty again if our travel plans take us to the area.

05-Jan-2023

We took a 17-day trip to Argentina and Chile with Qwerty. We were communicating with Constance who was extremely helpful from day 1- she adapted the tour to our wishes. The booking process was hassle-free and all internal flights and tours were booked by Qwerty. We were given instructions to download an app which was very useful- it included vouchers to tours, all flights, details of daily events, links to hotels, map and weather. It was very easy to travel from one place to another due to prebooked taxis by Qwerty. Some drivers do not speak English so prebooking was essential. We enjoyed most tours, especially the mini trekking on the Perito Moreno Glacier, sailing the Beagle channel in Ushuaia, Tierra del fuego, Torres del Paine national park in Chile and Iguazu falls. The only downside was the dinner at El Viejo Almacen and Tango show- the dinner was rushed and rather bland, with a disorgansied restaurant service. Hotels were generally good except the one in El Calafate (Kau Yatun) which needs a bit of modernisation. But other than that, we had a truly amazing time and recommend this tour to anyone!

The person who was supposed to pick us up for trips or airport was never late on the contrary 10 -15 min before the time. All people n hotel staff were very courteous n cooperative. Madam Constance handling the whole tour from Buenos Aires was always available for much needed guidance. We are very much satisfied with Qwerty people. Rank them10/10....A big thank you. ...

Classic Argentina tour cover wide range of interest to explore for everyone with option to modify ones individual needs. For that reason it is a good idea to focus on particular places of intrest one wants to visit and get some details prior the trip. Always good idea. Organized tour give a conveniance of transfers by waiting driver o guide from place to place.Guides we have pleasure to have, presents deep knowledge of topics and places ready to answer any of our questions. The ones in National Parks seems to have strong will of preservation of natural environment and saving natural habitat. Fully satisfied with this handling.

We loved our experience with Qwerty Travel! Constance was so helpfull and made it all happen for us! We booked our holiday really late and spontaneously, and Constance made sure we see and experience everything we wanted in Patagonia! Everything was well organised, punctual and interesting and informative. Patagonia is once in a lifetime experience, people so friendly and welcoming, all the tours and tourguides well organised and informed. Once in a lifetime experience! Qwerty Travel was always there for us if we needed anything during our trip. I cannot recommend this agency enough!

Qwerty Travel arranged our travel, accommodation and tours during a 6 week visit to Brazil, Argentina and Antarctica. Everything ran like clockwork, removing any stress caused by language barriers when visiting from abroad. Constance's insights into where to visit, what to do, the best accommodation made planning our trip straightforward and resulted in a fabulous and varied trip, ranging from breath-taking Patagonia, the magnificent Iguazu Falls, exploring the creeks of the Amazon to the excitement of tango in Buenos Aries. We can't recommend Constance and Qwerty Travel highly enough.
