Tour Overview
Tread in the ancient footprints of Rhodes, a significant Dodecanese island boasting a strategic historical importance and a cultural mosaic shaped by Ottoman, Italian, Knights of St John, and Persian influences. Revel in miles of rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, and tranquil coves, as scenic trails trace the seashore, revealing breath taking views and meandering through olive groves and ancient archaeological sites.
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage city of Rhodes Town, a labyrinth of alleyways, grand archways, monuments, and serene squares, offering an immersive experience. Venture to the other side of the island, where Lindos showcases its majestic acropolis and the sheltered harbour of St. Paul, steeped in historical lore. In between, discover traditional villages, serene valleys, and pine-clad woods, ideal for leisurely walks amidst stunning scenery, allowing ample time to savor the island's beauty.
Join us for a Christmas getaway, a quieter yet enchanting time to experience the island's charms. Rhodes offers an ideal winter escape with mild, sunny days – a delightful respite from the UK's winter weather.
Please note that walks on this holiday are a low Grade 3 and are shorter than a traditional Grade 3 holiday.Â
The damage caused by the July 2023 wildfires was in the centre of the island and has not affected our walks program.
