Tour Overview
From powerful geysers and thundering waterfalls, to soaring puffins and mesmerising Arctic foxes, you are never too far from an unforgettable moment when you experience a spellbinding cruise to Norway.
Mountain railways…dramatic glaciers…snow-capped peaks… Norway is an enchanting country with less than five million people and over 15,000 miles of coastlines and deep blue fjords. Ever wanted to see the best of what Norway has to offer but unsure of where to start? Then this cruising holiday is perfect for you! Â
One of the most memorable things about a cruise to the fjords is, believe it or not, cruising the fjords! The journey between ports is always picturesque with nearly one third of the country located above the tree line, surrounded by towering peaks and magnificent glaciers, found as far south as central southern Norway.Â
In some ports of call you'll follow captivating walking trails and in some you will spend time with local guides, furthering your knowledge of history and culture during your exploration ashore. There will be free time in each port for you to explore at leisure.Â
Explore Bergen by foot. Bergen is the second largest city in Norway but is described more as a large town with character and a friendly atmosphere. Known as the heart and the gateway of the fjords, Bergen is one of the most visited places in Norway.
Pass the gentle shores of the Hardangerfjord on the way to Eidfjord, where blossom decorates the shores during spring. A day is spent discovering this remote village...a nature lovers paradise!
Skjolden is a scenic village with a spectacular location! It is situated at the end of Lustrafjorden, a small branch off the Sognefjorden, Norway's longest fjord! Spend your time here exploring the beautiful area and array of wonderful hiking opportunities.
Discover the secluded coastal village of Vikoyri on the mighty Sognefjord. Follow a route through the village up into the hills, opening up to beautiful panoramic views of the village and the fjord.
Your days at sea are spent sailing through captivating fjords and past remote colourful towns, perfectly complemented with active days exploring ashore. Without a doubt, a cruise is the finest way to experience the other-worldly setting of Norway’s coast and fjords.
Norway has a reputation for being expensive, but on a cruising holiday you benefit from excellent value and experience more places than you would on a land based holiday. At the end of each day’s activities, we return to the excellent food and comfort of the Fred Olsen ship and sail on to another scenic destination.
Please note, ports of call may change between different departure dates. It is important to check the individual tour date proposed itinerary for details of your cruise.
