Mardi Himal Peak Climbing is in the Western part of Nepal at Manang District. Mardi Peak Climbing is Heading for this beautiful challenging trekking peak of Mardi. You need a special permit and an Experienced climbing guide through previous skill is not compulsory to climb this Trekking peak. Mardi Himal Peak offers an opportunity to explore religious villages and endless diversity of culture along with spectacular mountain scenery. On your way towards the mountain, you would come across a col which separates both the mountains of Mardi Himal and Fishtail. The best thing about this trip is that the destination’s close to the city of Pokhara which itself. This is probably the shortest trekking/climbing trip you can take in Nepal. The Base camp is set up at 4100m and once you pass the col and ascend a bit more you would get to see the high camp. The rest of the journey to the summit is a great one along with a 45-degree inclination. People usually couple this climb with other trips along the Annapurna region to enjoy it is diverse landscape, meet vibrant people and see wild animals. You may have already heard about the Annapurna Base Camp trail and how magnificent it is. But the Mardi Himal Peak Climb will present you with a heavenly experience. Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara along the scenic zigzag hilly roads that takes approximately five to six hours. Pokhara is a beautiful town set on the banks of the Fewa Lake.

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing And Trek Preparation.

Normally, you need to be trained for rock climbing a day course before start your trek, so you will be taken to a natural rock climbing spot Balaju which is 3 Km drive from Thamel. We will offer excellent opportunities to learn how to use climbing equipments like; rope, harness, Ice axe, crampons although maintain your physically fitness. Alternatively we will start half day sightseeing tour with our professional tour guide to the several of most historical and spiritual Place in Kathmandu. Some of this place is considered the World Heritage historic Sites such as Durban Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Math, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddha Math) which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. After come back from the tour there will be a pre-trip discussion with our trek guide and other team members. Mountain Guide Trek will brief you regarding your trek as well as we may have an opportunity to discuss any difficulties regarding our upcoming adventure. we will take another short drive towards the village of Hyenja – the starting point of the trek. Following the trail that goes along the bank of Mardi Khola before crossing the river. We will continue our trek along the banks Seti Khola, passing through beautifully terraced farmlands to reach the village of Gyachok.

The entire route connecting Mardi Himal Base Camp is visible from our campsite at Thulo Kharka. Leaving Thulo Kharka we will follow the trail towards the base camp that takes approximately around 2 – 3 hours of walking. Mardi Himal Base Camp is situated in the valley between the south and southeast ridges of Mardi Himal.

We will leave the base camp and start climbing steeply up for 200 meters and then traverse around the south-east ridge. From there we will continue to make a steady climb over the rocks and perhaps with some snow towards a good camping site. As soon as we reach our campsite, we will set up our camps, check that everyone is properly acclimatized and make necessary arrangements of the climbing equipment’s for climbing the summit tomorrow.

We will start early for the successful climb, as the strong winds after midday will make it almost impossible to summit the peak. The first part of the climb leads to the East Col at 5400 meters between Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre (Fish-Tail) which is approximately 4 hours of tiring climbing. Using our climbing equipments and following the footsteps of our experienced climbing experts we will make a very long snow climb which is not steep but very tiring. So, resting every now and then is very important as we head towards the top of the Col. From here it will take about one more hour of climbing over a pleasant snow ridge to the top of the summit . Once at the summit, we are rewarded with great views of Annapurna mountain ranges and surrounding high peaks.

From the base camp we will follow the trail that traverses around the south ridge towards a col at 4280 meters with magnificent views of surrounding high peaks. Along with the great views we continue to trek towards the grazing pastures of Korchon where we will camp for our overnight stay.

Leaving the pastures of Korchon we will descent steeply downhill towards the col below Odane Hill. During our trek today, we will have magnificent views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Manaslu, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Himalchuli and Dhaulagiri. We will continue to follow the ridge line that heads south and passing through dense forest we will arrive at Riban.

From Riban it is a pleasant walk as we pass through Lachock. From there we will cross the Mardi Khola and Mardi Pul to reach Hyenja. From Hyenja we will take a scenic drive over zigzag hilly roads that will take us back to Pokhara. Pokhara is home to thick forest, emerald lakes and a place of remarkable natural beauty. The reflection of the Machhapuchre (Fish-Tail) Himal over the serene Fewa Lake makes this place truly magical.

Day 14: Pokhara To Kathmandu Fly 25 Min. / Drive 6-7 Hrs.

You could choose an afternoon flight to Kathmandu, till some hours before the flight; you may take an optional sightseeing tour around Pokhara or enjoy adventure activities such as boat riding, paragliding, etc. While returning to Kathmandu from Pokhara, be sure to catch the left side of airplane for the best views of the Himalayas. Or if you would like to choose by bus, we will arrange ticket in the tourist coach at river side seat and start your journey at 7:30 am from Pokhara. Left sites seats of vehicles are nice to enjoy the scenery; the road follows by Trisuli River where you see many people rafting on the river. After 6/7 hours you will arrive at Kathmandu (beside Thamel) and transfer to your hotel. The day at leisure to rest, perhaps catch up on some last-minute shopping or explore any sights you missed during your first day in Kathmandu. ! Remember, we will be hosting a fantastic celebration "Farewell dinner" at traditional Nepalese restaurant together with Mountain Guide Trek staffs for successful completion of Mardi Himal Climbing! (Overnight at deluxe hotel on BB basis)

Today is the last day in Nepal for this trip; you are saying goodbye to the mountains as the journey in Nepal, comes to an end today, There is nothing to do but trade emails with travel companions and organise the photos. If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing. Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from Sange Sherpa Adventure will take you to the airport.
