Botswana & Victoria Falls

We depart from Rosebank Holiday Inn hotel travelling through Limpopo and North West province heading to Khama Rhino Sanctuary in Serowe. We cross the border and drive straight to Serowe, check in at Khama Rhino lodge and have some time to prepare for our sunset drive. We drive out on a 4WD for a short safari to maximise our chances of spotting rhinos. We visit few waterholes and drive back to the lodge before dark. A set dinner will be served at the restaurant.

Maun is the getaway to Okavango delta and the tourism capital of Botswana. Founded in 1915 as the capital of Batawane tribe. We drive through the flat landscape that forms the Kalahari Desert of Botswana, which is a part of Makgadikgadi Nxai salt pan. After checking in, we go to Maun shopping canter to stock for the next two days in the Delta. A set dinner will be served at the restaurant.

Shortly after breakfast we leave the lodge and head to Okavango delta on our open 4WD and meet the local guides at the polling station, load our camping gear, equipment and start polling to our wild camping site. We spend two days and one night there in the Delta. We have one sunset game walk and one sunrise game walk. Relax, but keep your ears close to the ground and keep your eyes open, the bush will have a few surprises in store for you.

We have a short sunrise walk, come back to the camp have breakfast and start poling down the stream heading to the mekoro station. We drive back to Maun arriving during lunchtime. We have free time until late afternoon, and we have an opportunity to try the optional scenic flight over the Okavango delta.

Shortly after breakfast we head to Moremi game reserve on our open 4WD for fantastic game viewing. We have two days to explore the former hunting ground of Batswana tribe and enjoy the game viewing. Our camp uses renewable energy which runs on certain time, make sure all batteries are charged before we leave Maun. We return to Maun on the afternoon of day 7 for the last night before heading to the pans.

We have an early breakfast and start game viewing through Khwai private concession. We make lunch stop along the way and after lunch we head back to Maun. We have a free afternoon to refresh and relax. Dinner at own expense.

The largest remaining salt shimmering salt pans of Makgadikgadi appears as glaring white and endless plain. The pans attract hundreds of zebras, wildebeests and different bird species in the wet season. We visit the pans for the sunset walk and return to the lodge for dinner.

Chobe River divides Botswana and the Zambezi region, former Caprivi Strip. The river is our focus point as all our activities are based on it. Our lodge is located on the bank of the river attracting large heads of elephants and other animals. We have one sunrise open 4WD safari and one sunset boat safari through Chobe River.

We leave Botswana and cross to Zimbabwe. We visit Mosi oa Tunya (The smoke that thunders), the Victoria Falls. One of the 7 natural wonders of the world. We have the following day to venture into local activities (own expense) including bungee jump, rhino walk, or lion cubs walk.

The tour ends after breakfast at 8:30 am and get transferred to the airport for departures.
