Tour Overview
The Everest Three High Passes trek stands out as one of Nepal's most thrilling adventures, demanding the traversal of three formidable high passes in the Everest region - Renjo La, Cho La, and Kongma La, all situated above an altitude of 5,000 m (16,404.2 ft). The trail encompasses rocky terrains, offers majestic views of sacred mountains, and provides an intimate experience of the typical Himalayan lifestyle. Upon conquering the first pass of the Everest Three High Passes trek, the trail merges with the renowned Everest Base Camp Trek, allowing trekkers to explore the Everest base camp in detail. Here, the captivating lifestyle of the region and the breathtaking view of Mt. Everest, as well as other equally stunning peaks, unfold. Notably, the Kalapatthar viewpoint provides a magical sunrise casting a golden hue upon the snow-capped mountains. Commencing from Lukla and progressing through Namche Bazar to Everest Base Camp, the Everest Three High Passes trek then leads to the challenging Cho La pass (5,420 m / 17,782.15 ft). Descending from this high point, the path meanders to the scenic Gokyo Lake, followed by the vibrant and colorful Gokyo village. The journey continues towards the third pass, Renjo La (5,370m / 17,618.11 ft), concluding the trek at Lukla through the picturesque Dudh Koshi River and Phakding. For those seeking the challenge of conquering multiple passes in the Everest region, coupled with the serenity and fulfillment of being enveloped by the wonders of nature – from the Himalayas and rivers to pristine ranges and the diversity of typical Nepalese villages – the Everest Three High Passes trek offers an unparalleled experience. However, it is crucial to remain cautious about altitude-related risks, such as altitude sickness, HAPE, or HACE, by prioritizing safety during this adventurous journey.
