Day 1 : Hanoi Arrival - City Tour D

Welcome to Vietnam!
The our local tourguide will be welcoming you at Noi Bai airport; it takes us 35 minutes driving to the centre of Hanoi to check-in hotel. Let’s have an overall view of the capital by a “cyclo” visit, which will start around the Old Quarter of Hanoi, stop at Ngoc Son Temple located on the Hoan Kiem Lake (the “Sword” Lake). Late afternoon we will enjoy a unique fascinating show of Water Puppetry, a traditional stage art of Northern Vietnam. Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 : Hanoi - Halong Bay B/L/D

If you wish to see how the Hanoi people rise and shine in the morning, wake up early and run to a lake close by your hotel, you can join an exciting scene of hundreds of locals, passionately attentive in their morning exercises of Tai Chi quan, jogging, martial arts, classical dance and so on. After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Halong Bay, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO since 1994 and 2006, and check-in our overnight boat. Enjoy a trip on Halong with stops to visit caves or to swim and enjoy the sunset on the sea. Dinner with fresh seafood! Overnight onboard.

Day 3 : Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue B/Br

Situated in the “Eastern Sea”, so you may guess how miraculous it is seeing the sunrise over the islets of the Bay. The boat will take us to go about marvelous areas, where almost each islet has its own name, adopting its shape or reminiscent, including the Fisherman’s Head, Turtle, the Sail, the Incense Burner Rock, the cute Sea Dog Rock or Cock Fighting Rocks and so on.
Return to the Wharf at midday to be back Noi Bai airport for your onward flight to Hue. Heading straight to your hotel in Hue later on. (Dinner at your own account).

Day 4 : Hue City Tour - Royal Dinner B/D

Being recognized by UNESCO as the 1st Cultural World Heritage for Vietnam, Hue is highlighted by the old royal architectural works and the most traditional Vietnamese lifestyle. We will discover the charm of the city from the Royal Citadel, Forbidden City, Hue Royal Museum and Dong Ba bustling market. After lunch in a Garden-housed restaurant in “Hue” style (guest’s own account), go on to Thien Mu pagoda and visit the Tombs of King Minh Mang and Tu Duc – two best-reserved monuments of the Nguyen Emperors since early 19th and early 20th centuries.
Imagine you are a Royalty – King, and queen beside you accompanied by Mandarins ... sitting with other dignitaries in the Royal styled decorated dining room and all dressed as ancient Hue Royals. This evening, you will be surprised with authentic delicious Hue’s Royal Cuisines while Hue Imperial Court Style Music & Dance performers entertain you.

Day 5 : Hue - Ba Na Hills - Hoi An B/L

After breakfast and check-out hotel, we will depart from Hue to Hoian by the Hai Van Pass (the “Ocean Cloudy Mountain Pass”) and enjoy the beauty of Lang Co Beach. Before reaching Hoian, let’s stop along the way to visit Ba Na Hills. From the foothill, we will take Cable Car which gains 5 world scores to Ba Na hills station. You have a chance to ride on a modern system of cable cars helps you get a bird's-eye view, very miraculous and attractive while enjoying a feeling of flying in the blue sky amidst the clouds and wind. You will visit some old French villas en route, as well as the suspension bridge, Nui Chua & the Mountain Peak (at the height of 1,487m). Our hightlight of today visit will be the well know Golden Bridge which is designed as though a giant's hands (made of fiberglass and mesh wire) are gently supporting the 490 feet path (150 m) for pedestrians, which overlooks the coastal resort of Da Nang.
Move on to your hotel in Hoi An at the end of the day. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6 : Hoi An Ancient Town - At Leisure B/L

Let’s spend our full day visiting the town of Hoi An today. Together with our guide in Hoian, we’ll walk over the tile-roofed Japanese Bridge, visit taciturn Chinese Assembly Halls, visit ancient houses and Trading Houses, pagodas and stroll into the market located by Thu Bon river, where we may find out the same feelings of the artists, who see the rooftops of Hoi An a magical old world of Oriental feel and source of inspiration. This is also a wonderful town to shop for lanterns, soft silk, raw silk, or get your clothes tailored within a day. Afternoon is open for your own explore of the town or an optional tour by boat to a small ceramic village in Thu Bon River. Dinner at your own arrangement. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 7 : Hoi An – Da Nang - Saigon City Tour B/L

Location: Ho Chi Minh City

Relax till transfer to Da Nang Airport to take the morning flight to Saigon.
You will be welcomed at the Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to the hotel to check-in. Lunch at local restaurant before we start the city tour at the Reunification Palace, the witness of the fierce Vietnam War ended in 1975. The grand building today is a Museum and Hall of official receptions. Nearby the Palace are the colonial-styled Post Office and the Pink Church - one of the city’s major landmarks. The visit will end at Ngoc Hoang (the “Jade Emperor”) pagoda before we join the night market at Ben Thanh. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 8 : Saigon - Tay Ninh - Cu Chi - Saigon B/L

Our day will begin with a visit to Tayninh, the centre of Caodaism, a local sect of Buddhism founded by a Vietnamese countryman in early 20th century. Arriving at noontime, we will have the chance to join the daily solemn ceremony at the temple of Cao Dai called Tayninh Holysee. On the way back to Saigon, we can stop to visit Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the fierce Vietnam War. We can even crawl a part of the tunnel to experience the real life of the Vietnamese guerrillas, who used to use and live inside this system during the wartime. Return to Saigon late afternoon. Lunch in Tayninh or en route. Dinner by your own arrangement. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 9 : Saigon - Mekong Delta - Saigon B/L

Location: Mekong River Delta

Head to the South to My Tho and Ben Tre, the homeland of coconut and family factories with local products. Stop en route to visit Vinh Trang pagoda. Upon arrival in My Tho, we will take a small boat to go between canals into gardens and rural houses, where a lot of families produce coconut candy, feed the bee for honey, or plant juicy fruit. Stop at some families and their small factories. Back to Saigon later afternoon for overnight. Lunch en route and dinner at your own arrangement for more flexibility.

Day 10 : Saigon Departure B

Location: Ho Chi Minh City

Meals Included: Breakfast

It is your own time today. Finally, you are free for relax and shopping in Saigon, the biggest commercial centre of Vietnam until transfer to the Tan Son Nhat Airport for the departure flight.

How to get visa on arrival/ visa stamp?

There are 2 places to get Visa: at the Vietnamese diplomatic offices or possibly at the border gates to those who have written invitation by a Vietnamese competent agencies or tourists in the tours organized by Vietnamese international travel companies. Especially, if you would like to enter Vietnam through an international border gate to travel on Phu Quoc Island and stay there for less than 15 days will also be exempted from Vietnam visa application. Passports must be valid for at least 45 days. Important note: Please be aware that visa on arrival in Vietnam means visa stamped on arrival. You must get visa approval by Vietnam Immigration office in advance. Upon arrival to Vietnam International Airports (Hanoi, Da Nang or Hochiminh), you present all things in the prepared package (passport, visa approval letter, 2 passport sized photos 4x6cm, the entry-and-exit form and stamping fee) to the Immigration officer to get your visa stamped. You need to pay stamping fee about $25 for single entry and $50 for multiple entry visa.

The best way to visit Vietnam

We booked as a group of four on the recommendation of my brother in law . We knew they would be good as he has high standards but the quality and value far surpassed our expectations. Not wanting to join a large group we worked with Tina to design a bespoke itinerary from north to south. Each guide was brilliant, looking after everything, providing bottled water daily and adapting to our needs when we wanted to change plans . The basic itinerary we agreed included so many extras, boat trips, cooking classes , fantastic local restaurant recommendations . All hotels were excellent, particularly the rosemary in Hoi An. One minor hiccup with noisy building works near our last hotel was dealt with quickly and efficiently, leading to a transfer and upgrade at no extra cost- even though they weren’t to know what was going on. The gracy in Saigon was amazing for location and service. We highly recommend this tour company; their impeccable service through the booking process was fully supported by the care and attention shown by Qui (Hanoi guide), Quan (Hoi An guide) and Long ( Saigon guide) . When we return to this part of the world we will definitely depend on them to make sure we have another perfect holiday.
