Day 2 : From Middle Eastern Pompeii To The Ottoman Capital
Location: Jerash
Accommodation: Hotel
Accommodation Name: Dana guesthouse
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for the ancient city of Jerash or Gerasa, approximately 45km from Amman. It is the second largest site in Jordan after Petra. Today, it is considered one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the Near East. Hidden under sand for several centuries before being discovered and restored over 70 years. The city was entirely built of orange-pink limestone. Jerash's peak dates from the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. Jerash is the very example of Roman municipal planning in the Middle East. After lunch, continue to the former Ottoman capital "As Salt", recently inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. By traversing its "Harmony trail" you will understand better why this city is an example of living together between Muslim and Christian populations in Jordan.
You will then have lunch with a local family in the area.
Return to Amman for the Night.
Lunch with a local family
Dinner at leisure
Day 3 : The Dead Sea And Its Surroundings
Location: Madaba
Accommodation: Hotel
Accommodation Name: Dead Sea Spa Hotel
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, meet with your driver to head to the Dead Sea, but before that, you will take a tour of the city of Amman with the following itinerary: visit to the Amman Citadel, the archaeological museum, the Temple of Hercules, the Omayyad Palace, the Roman theater and the old city. Then head to the city of mosaics "Madaba", where you will visit the Church of St. George in Madaba, where you will see the oldest known map of the Holy Land. This mosaic from the middle of the 6th century, barely altered, traces the geography of Byzantine Palestine. After this first visit, head to Mt. Nebo, 10 km northwest of Madaba, the burial place of Moses, which offers a spectacular view of the Holy Land. In the afternoon, you will go to your hotel on the Dead Sea for a unique experience in the world's lowest point. Located 400 meters below sea level, it is also considered one of the most spiritual landscapes in the world, filled with wonders of nature and history.
Diner and lunch at leisure
Overnight Dead sea
Day 4 : Kerak Castle And Hike In Dana
Location: Dana
Accommodation: Hotel
Accommodation Name: Edom Hotel
Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast and perhaps one last swim in the Dead Sea, head to southern Jordan. Your first stop will be in Kerak, the unofficial capital of southern Jordan, which is still mostly within the walls of the Crusader era on top of a hill and has one of the best-preserved Crusader castles in the Middle East. About 125 km south of Amman, halfway between the capital and Petra, it is also a natural stopover point on a trip between the north and south. Then continue to the Dana Nature Reserve where you will go on a hike in the village of Dana, whose occupation dates back to over 4000 BC. This trail snakes through the village, through terraced gardens and local craft workshops. You can meet the local residents, see the original Ottoman architecture, and learn more about the rich history of Dana. To date, a total of 700 plant species, 190 bird species, 37 mammal species, and 36 reptile species have been recorded in the reserve.
After Dana, head to Little Petra for a sneak peek of what's to come tomorrow.
Lunch and dinner at leisure
Overnight in Petra
Day 5 : Petra
Location: Wadi Musa
Accommodation: Hotel
Accommodation Name: Edom Hotel
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, depart for the most anticipated day of the trip.
Today, you will explore the renowned Nabatean site of Petra, the capital of the ancient Nabatean commercial empire until its conquest by the Romans in 106 AD. Petra is located on the edge of Wadi Araba. Once in Petra, you will notice that there are very few standalone buildings, as the Nabateans preferred to carve their homes into the pink sandstone cliffs.
The tour then takes you to the Khazneh, one of Petra's most elaborate temples. You will discover how the Nabateans carved their land into rock walls.

Day 6 : Petra Wadi Rum
Location: Wadi Musa, Wadi Rum Village
Accommodation: Hotel
Accommodation Name: Mazayen rum camp
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Breakfast at the hotel and depart for the Wadi Rum desert.
If Petra is the result of the work of man combined with that of nature, the cliffs, peaks, and valleys of Wadi Rum owe their "serene beauty" and "overwhelming grandeur" only to themselves. You will go on a 4-hour 4x4 tour of Wadi Rum with a lunch in the desert. You will explore the beautiful desert and mountainous landscapes of Wadi Rum.
This evening, you will sleep in the Wadi Rum desert in a Bedouin atmosphere.

How does Today Voyages work?
We are an Online Travel Agency, specialized in Group Vacations and Private Vacations. We have been in business for over 30 years through our sister company Go West Tours and, throughout the years, have developed an extensive network of trusted professionals around the world and a structured methodology to screen our suppliers. Today Voyages offers a selection of tours that are designed, managed and operated by our network of trusted Tour Operators and DMCs. Our database is connected with our partners so that when you make a booking with us this will immediately be received and processed by the Tour Operator.
-
Where should I buy the flights to reach my destination?
Today Voyages does not sell flights directly. None of our tours come with flights included. Why? Because we prefer to give full flexibility to our valued customers to select the airlines and the booking platform they prefer. As soon as your flight is booked and confirmed, we invite you to update your flight plan within your Today Voyages booking confirmation page by entering your flight number, departure and arrival times, as well as your Passport information (if needed). None of these fields are mandatory but we highly encourage you to provide as much information as possible. This will allow us to provide you with the excellent service you are looking for.
-
What is an additional excursion or tour optional?
Certain tours might show a selection of additional excursions/optional activities that you may want to add to our standard itinerary. These services are priced separately and can be added to the cart before completing the booking. We believe these optional services to contribute to making your vacation unforgettable; however, you are in no way obliged to purchase them. All our tours are awesome with our without optional services!
-
What is the difference between Group Vacations and Private Vacations?
If you purchase one of our Group vacation packages, you will be escorted by a professional tour guide and will be traveling with other like-minded travelers you may not know. The group size depends on the tour you select. If you purchase one of our Private vacation packages, you will be traveling only within your group of friends. You may or may not be escorted by a professional tour guide; this depends on the type of private tour you are interested in.
-
When and how will I receive the travel documents (vouchers)?
If you book one of our Group or Private tours, you will receive your travel documents via email approximately 20 days prior to travel date. If you reserve one of our Vacation Rentals, you will hear back from the property manager via email a few days prior to checking-in. We recommend checking your emails on a regular basis as this is our most reliable method of communication. If you have questions or need additional support, you can always chat with us or email us directly.
-
What happens if a Group tour does not get confirmed?
It is very simple... you will be offered an alternative departure date or be refunded the full amount you pre-paid. No questions asked!
-
What happens after I book?
The majority of our tours are confirmed at the time of booking. This means that, after submitting the payment online, you will receive an order confirmation email; make sure to save this email and to note down your confirmation number for any future communication with us. Some tours may be sold on a 'on request' basis. This means that for these tours we reserve the right to check the availability of your spot(s) with the Tour Operator before confirming the tour to you. As soon as you submit the payment online for a 'on request' tour you will receive an email notification that confirms your order request. Within 72 hours, you will receive either a confirmation email or a denial email. Do not worry... we will do everything we can to confirm your tour!
