Highlights
Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive Siem Reap, Phare Circus
Location: Phare Circus Ring Road
Accommodation: Hotel, Viroth's or Similar
Meals Included: Dinner, Drinking Water
Welcome to Cambodia! Your tour guide & driver will welcome you from the airport and transfer you straight to your accommodation for a few hours rest.
In the evening, transfer to have delicious Khmer dinner at famous Viroth’s restaurant, the unique beautiful setting and garden before going to Phare Circus performance. It combines local traditions with new creative and innovative genres. Daring athleticism is combined with stories that speak powerfully to Cambodia’s not-too-distant history; for example, escape from tyranny is depicted through tightrope walking.
Day 2 : Explore Ta Prohm & Banteay Srei
Location: Banteay Srei
Accommodation: Hotel, Viroth's Hotel or Similar
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, cool drinking water and snacks
Today, we travel by jeep to Ta Prohm, pausing to collect your entry passes at the Archaeological Park Entrance. Ta Prohm cloaked in dappled shadow, its crumbling towers and walls locked in the slow muscular embrace of vast root systems. Undoubtedly it is one of the most picturesque and atmospheric ruins at Angkor complex. Take your time with your private guide through the temple from the West entrance to the East entrance where you will rejoin our driver.
After exploring this iconic temple, we will then to Banteay Srei, this red sandstone temple is one of Angkor’s most significant structures as its walls are decorated with elaborate carvings, which have been preserved remarkably well. Originally built in the 10th century, this temple was dedicated to the Hindu god – Shiva.
Day 3 : Angkor Sunrise & Angkor Thom Sunset
Location: Angkor Thom
Accommodation: Hotel, Viroth's Hotel or Similar
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Cool Drinking water and local snacks
Rising at the crack of dawn, taking a deep breath and getting ready to experience the once-in-lifetime-experience when you can see the most beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat. Enjoy the stunning views and learn how the rising sun brings the temples to life. Then head down to explore the ancient temple at its most atmospheric, bathed in the warm glow of the morning sun. We’ll head into the inner sanctum of Angkor Wat to admire the carvings and architecture of the temple.
After exploring the Angkor Wat, you will return back to your accommodation and have time to rest before exploring the walled city of Angkor Thom that was the masterpiece of King Jayavarman VII. Enter the city through the ancient Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with elephants and four giant faces. From here, continue to Bayon Temple which is located in the exact centre of the Angkor Thom city, known as the “Giant Face Temple”. Your guide will point out the most interesting of the detailed bas reliefs illustrating everyday life in the Angkorian era. We conclude the tour at the moat of Angkor Thom and take a peaceful cruise on a rowboat with Canapes and enjoy sunset drinks whilst sailing on the complex’s vast moat.
Day 4 : Tour To Roluos Temples & Floating Village
Location: Kampong Phluk
Accommodation: Hotel, Viroth's Hotel or Similar
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Cool Drinking water and local snacks
Today, We travel back in time to one of the earliest capitals in the Angkor area, Hariharalaya, now known as Roluos. There are three key Hindu structures that remain: Lolei, Bakong and Preah Ko which were all part of the ancient city of Hariharalaya. You will walk approximately 3 km as you explore these peaceful ruins, meeting villagers along the way.
Then, we head to Kompong Pluk and aboard your private boat, visit a floating village, built entirely on stilts in Tonle Sap, the lake at Cambodia’s centre. See the little school, Buddhist temple and shops before puttering off to a floating fishing village, and a flooded forest, where – if water levels are high enough – you can pass amongst the branches by boat. The voyage will finish around mid-afternoon, leaving the rest of your day at leisure.
