This afternoon, visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture, which is the newest member of the Smithsonian Institution. Just four months later, the battlefield served as the backdrop for Abraham Lincoln's call for "a new birth of freedom" in his famed Gettysburg Address. "I often visit in January and February when the parks are quieter and the rains bring out a lot of different experiences. July-September is the best time to visit for the great wildebeest migration!"

"Visit the Giraffe centre to hand feed giraffes, watch baby elephants during feeding time at David Sheldrick, feed wild monkeys in the park, eat at Nairobi street kitchen and party at K1 Clubhouse. "

Do I book in advance?

"If you're not on a tour, it's important to book places like David Sheldrick in advance as they are a true sanctuary and only open to the public for 1hr each day to limited numbers. It can book up weeks in advance."

What can I do at night?

"Nairobi has a lot of restaurants and bars. My favourite is K1 Clubhouse with regular DJs, life music, an outdoor beer garden and club vibes! Great drinks, food and atmosphere!"

What do you love most about Nairobi?

"I love Nairobi so much because the people are so welcoming. Locals have always been so kind and helpful and of course, Kenya is so beautiful it keeps me coming back for more!"
