You’ll then visit Oatlands on the shores of Lake Dulverton, for a bite to eat before travelling to Hobart. This afternoon you have the opportunity to contribute to the natural landscapes you’ve come to love in a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience at not-for-profit Understory Nursery. You’ll join their sustainability programme helping volunteers pot native plants and count seeds, contributing to their mission to encourage locals to plant natives in their gardens to support the local habitat as well as supply plants for regrowth areas at the Royal Botanical Gardens. You’ll not only love getting to know the folks who work hard to conserve this ecosystem but feel good knowing that you’re contributing to their cause. On your first night in Hobart, explore the area with a stroll and grabbing a bite to eat around lively Constitution Dock.

Today’s travels see you Dive Into Culture, taking you through Tasmania’s history at Port Arthur Historic Site with a Local Specialist. You’ll cross Eaglehawk Neck to the Tasman Peninsula where we hit the water again on a cruise around the Isle of the Dead before your tour on this famous penal settlement.
