As ever, an excellent Travel Edition experience. Anne Anderson is a terrific leader - so knowledgeable. Serge kept us well-organised and always looked out for ways of adding to our enjoyment of the trip.

An excellent tour with very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guiding form Anne, as always. The use of Vox boxes was very good, and essential, in fact, as we were a big group. Our able tour manager, Serge, was able to fit in a boat trip which was very much appreciated.

Brilliant walking tour of such amazing tiles, stained glass and architecture. Great to have information provided so you could just look at the buildings and read up on them later.

On the whole, a very enjoyable visit handled magnificently by Anne. The only disappointment was the visit to Karlsruhe. We did not see the architecture, only a dreary seventies shopping centre. The visit was only saved by the wonderful museum.

Loved every minute. Anne was very cheerful, with an excellent turn of phrase and amazing stamina. Serge was faultless and informative both on Strasbourg and Karlsruhe. Teamaking facilities in the rooms would have been nice. Reception appeared understaffed at times. The hotel location was perfect, modern and clean.

Tiring but very enjoyable trip. Would have liked more time for tea / coffee stops. The coach driver to Karlsruhe very kindly went out of her way to see the storks' nests. Would have liked more time to visit the other museums in Strasbourg. It was good of Serge to organise the boat trip. The Floderer restaurant was beautiful but the food was mediocre.

We were asked to tip the tour manager, who had been treated as an equal and with whom I had an animated discussions at dinner. I find this embarrassing. He did an excellent job and should be well rewarded - by you. Tips should be included in the overall price.

I thought it was an amazing holiday! The trains ran on time; the hotel and staff there were very pleasant; our Tour Manager, Jill, was outstanding - socially skilled, meticulous in all of her dealings with us, creating a lovely atmosphere. Ditto, Ann Anderson, our lecturer - very knowledgeable, very witty, very personable, enthusiastic and likeable. The size of the tour was perfect, I think there were about 15, which was a good number, and people got on well and were interested in the same things. The weather was awful, even colder than Newcastle (where I live), which says something! Nevertheless, the staff were enthusiastic and resourceful in keeping us out of the rain as much as possible. Although not a cheap holiday, it was good value for money and made the holiday a real learning experience. I hope to come back and do some more trips with you.
