Annapurna Base Camp is one of the dream destinations of most travelers. This trip offers the stunning views of the Himalayas taking you to the two famous bases of the mountains of this region, i.e. Machhapuchhre Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp. Passing through some old authentic villages and learning the culture and lifestyles of people, you will be enjoying the views of magnificent snow-capped mountains around.

Day 1 : Arrival In Kathmandu.
Location: Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu. You will be received by one of our office representatives at the TIA exit section and escort you to your hotel afterward.

Depending on your arrival time, you will have the chance to stroll around the places nearby your hotel on your own.

Day 2 : Permits Preparation And Trip Briefing Day.
Location: Kathmandu

Today you will have a free day in Kathmandu while your specialist will take time to arrange permits for your trek. You will have time to explore around the Kathmandu valley on your own or enjoy the Cultural Day Tour with an experienced tour guide arranged by Trek Guiders.

In the evening, you will be met by your specialist in your hotel lobby. S/he will introduce you to your guide for the trek and brief you shortly about your trek, things to do/ not to do, and any optional activities you may enjoy during the trip. You can ask any queries or share feelings with your specialist during the briefing.

Day 3 : Drive From Kathmandu To Pokhara.
Location: Pokhara

Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel and ask your hotel manager to safe-keep your luggage in the hotel store if you are planning to return to the same hotel again after the trek. Then starting off with a drive to Pokhara with your trekking crew, you will reach your destination in approximately 6 - 7 hours.

Upon reaching Pokhara, check in to your hotel and have some rest. The evening is free to stroll around the Lakeside market or the bank of Phewa Lake.

Day 4 : Drive To Nayapul (1010M). Trek To Tikhedhunga (1570M)
Location: Tikhedhungga

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by a private vehicle. Along with the trekking crew, you will start driving to the trek starting point, Nayapul, from where you will be walking uphill up to Tikhedhunga. While you will be walking towards your day destination, you will get to pass through many small villages of Birethanti and Hile. Small waterfalls on the way will grab your attention for a nice picture click.

Day 5 : Trek From Tikhedhunga To Ghorepani (2840M)
Location: Ghode Pani
Accommodation: Tea House
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today you will have steep uphill stone steps (3767 steps) climb for around 1.5 hours up to Ulleri. The trail passes through cultivated fields and forest of Oak trees and Rhododendron (weather dependent). After having lunch at Nangethanti, you may rest for about an hour for some relaxation and pictures. Afterward, start climbing uphill again until you reach Ghorepani.

Day 6 : Trek From Ghorepani To Tadapani (2610M). Sunrise From Poonhill (3210M)
Location: Tadapani

Today is the most important day of your trek. You will need to wake up pretty early in the morning for approximately an hour hike up to Poonhill (referred to as Poon Danda in Nepali) from where the spectacular sunrise view can be seen. It's amazing to see the golden ray of sunlight touching the snow-covered peaks of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Fishtail, Nilgiri South, and Singa Chuli to name some peaks. Enjoy a cup of local tea while the sun rises high.

Afterwards, trek down to your lodge, have breakfast and continue to trek down to Tadapani which is a long way through the forest.

Day 7 : Trek From Tadapani To Chhomrong (2107M)
Location: Chhomrong
Accommodation: Tea House
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

From Tadapani, you will make a steep descent through the dense and dark forest. The route passes through the west bank of the Modi Khola after which you will descend steeply down the village of Chuile coming over to the Kimrong Khola. From here, you will continue a steep climb till to Chhomrong. Upon arrival at Chhomrong, you will be welcomed by the mighty peak of Annapurna South, with the Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhare) facing it across the valley. Chhomrong is a beautiful village located on the lap of giant Annapurna massive.

Day 8 : Trek From Chhomrong To Dovan (2600M)
Location: Dovan
Accommodation: Tea House

After breakfast, start walking leaving behind Chhomrong along the Modi Khola. You will be at inhabited foothills into the high step and wooded slopes of Himalayas. You will cross the suspension bridge then trek up to Sinuwa Danda from where the trail becomes somewhat flatter. The trail passes through thick and dark arresting rhododendron forest up to Khuldighar. Then the trail passes through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Dovan.

Day 9 : Trek From Dovan To Deurali (3230M)
Location: Deurali
Accommodation: Tea House
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The day starts with gentle gradual ascend, after breakfast at Dovan, following the trail above the river through a thick bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests. Crossing two streams over small bridges, the trail further passes through solitary places. Feel the peace while you go through nature's wilderness and solitariness. If you are lucky, there is the possibility of seeing a variety of species of wildlife such as wild pig, deer, and snow leopard.

Day 10 : Trek From Deurali To Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700M)
Location: Machhapuchhre Base Camp
Accommodation: Tea House

After you are done with your breakfast in Deurali, start your trail climbing gently through a river bed and which rises steeply over the mountainside. Stay alert and well-informed about the weather condition as there are some avalanche prone areas at some points on the trail.

After walking for about half an hour from Deurali, you will find yourselves in the middle of the river bed surrounded by snow covered mountains. It's a beautiful view giving inner warmth when the snow on the mountains shines when the sun rises.

Today's hike is somewhat strenuous but the unfolding views of the majestic Machhapuchhre give a rewarding experience.

Day 11 : Trek From Machhapuchhre Base Camp To Annapurna Base Camp (4130M).
Location: Annapurna Base Camp

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at Machhapuchhre Base Camp and set out for the trail. As you keep walking, you will see that any living vegetation that you had encountered in previous trail starts disappearing. You will just see the snow boulders melting and forming small streams here. The path widens as you enter the Sanctuary following a stream and then you will climb few huts alongside the moraine from where you will get the sensational views of the Annapurna South.

Praising your hard efforts to reach your destination, Annapurna Base Camp will reward you with heart inspiring views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiuchuli and many other peaks.

Day 12 : Trek From Annapurna Base Camp To Bamboo (2310M)

Today, don't miss the chance to witness the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas from the Annapurna Base Camp.

After breakfast, you will start descending to Bamboo back through Machhapuchhre BC, Deurali and Dovan. As you will be heading down all the way, it will be an easy trail for you. You will get to see the waterfall dropping down from a high point to the rocks below. Take some chance to capture some great photos here. Further passing through the forests with great views of Machhapuchhre and Hiuchuli, you will finally reach Bamboo.

Day 13 : Trek From Bamboo To Jhinu Danda (1760M)
Location: Jhinu Danda

After having breakfast, you will be trekking back to Sinuwa and further descending back to Lower Chhomrong. To reach Upper Chhomrong, you will need to pass the thousand stone steps. From here, you will take the route to Jhinu Danda instead of going towards Ghandruk. Upon reaching Jhinu, which is famous for hot springs, get some time to relax your body in the hot spring located at just 15-minute walking distance from Jhinu Danda.

Day 14 : Trek From Jhinu Danda To Kimche (1640M). Drive To Pokhara
Location: Pokhara

Today will be the last trekking day of your trip. So, wake up early, enjoy your breakfast with the mountains and set out towards your trek ending point, Kimche, where you will find your vehicle waiting for you to take back to Pokhara.

Upon reaching Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel to drop those bags. Rest of the day would be free to relax and roam around the Lakeside market which is full of great cafes, restaurants, shopping arcades, and Yoga studios. Get some time to enjoy boating in Phewa lake too.

Day 15 : Drive From Pokhara To Kathmandu
Location: Kathmandu

You will be picked up by a private vehicle after your breakfast for the drive back to Kathmandu. Following the same route of Prithivi Highway and enjoying the scenic vistas, you will reach Kathmandu in around 6 - 7 hours. You will be directly escorted to your hotel in Kathmandu. The evening is free for some last-minute shopping or relaxation.

Day 16 : Final Departure

You will be picked up from your hotel 3.5 hours prior to your international flight time by one of our office representatives to escort you to the TIA. Trip concludes !!

    City hotels are pre-booked. Hence, you will know the names of the city hotels. But during the trek, you will be accommodated in the best available lodges as the pre-booking facility is not available in the standard tea houses.

    There will be supplementary charge for hotel accommodation for solo travelers if they wish to use a single room.

  • What happens if a group doesn’t make its minimum required number of passengers?
